PentelEnerGel X BL107 - Retractable Liquid Gel Ink Pen - 0.7mm - 84% Recycled - Black - Pack of 3

After many years of hardly writing, I am now studying for a grad program and doing a lot of note writing. The grip is very personal, but I've found these to be my favourites so far, very comfy to hold. You don't need to apply pressure, the pen just glides very smoothly over the page which really makes writing less fatiguing and I have now also relaxed my previous vice-like grip.The 0.7mm dries quickly and I haven't noticed any smudges. I tried a colleague's uniball signo, but didn't seem to be anything special about it. Only downside with writing daily is they don't last long, but that's common with gel pens and they're so cheap it's not a big deal. I've actually bought some of the colours now, the orange particularly being ultra-smooth to write with!Must admit I laughed hard at the 1 star review, complete with pics to show the tip protectors had not been removed. Not sure if that was supposed to be a joke or not, but you are supposed to flick off the drop off wax from the tip before trying to write.

Glides across the pages. Great everyday pen. Would be perfect if it was erasable.

The ink flow on this is the smoothest I'd ever experienced with a pen. I got recommended this by a friend who is taking 2 3 hour Cambridge maths exams, and he used this for one of his exam papers. I tried this pen upon his recommendation, and it does live up to its expectations. The ink dries surprisingly quickly, so there isn't much to worry about smudging any writing. Would definitely recommend this pack of pens (and you can simply get refill packs when you run out of ink).

Bought these instead of G2's after reading post after post about how good the Energels were. They're a very good pen but I definately prefer the G2's. They both smudge a bit if rubbed right away, the G2 marginally longer but nicer to hold and use.It probably comes down to personal preference and nostalgia, if you're on the fence between G2 and Energel, I recommend you buy a small amount of both to try first.

It is perfect for left handers as it dries super quickly and does not smudge. It is great quality (as are all other pentel pens) and it has a bright black colour that stands out.
