Monitor performs very well. I'm using it as an auxilliary monitor for my. Sony CX405. camcorder. Powered using NP-F970 battery, which has lasted for more than five hours of recording and still had around 25% charge remaining. It also has good resolution, but all my shooting has been indoors. You can invert and/or reverse the display if needed. The mounting bracket is metric thread and not the standard 1/4-20 thread for photo mounting. I used a tap to re-thread. There are other monitors that have a built in battery bracket, but nothing I found that has this picture spec at this price point.

HDMI port broke in two day of use.was alright before it broke but it has a mini hdmi port and the weight of an adapter must have cause it to break but it came with a mini to micro hdmi cord(10 dollars)funny looking rca cord (10 dollars) And the unit can still read memory cards also it doesn’t have a power cord provided(-10 dollars) I think all in all a waste of money

I bought this monitor to connect to gaming console and when i turned it on It appeared that there were scratches on the screen. Then I saw a small sticker on one corner. It turned out that the sticker was part of a plastic screen protector, once i got it off, the screen was flawless. The image is bright and clear.I've only used this monitor for a few days.The only thing that bothers me is that the sound quality is not the best, mostly because the speakers are on the back.

I ordered 2 of these. The first one powered up fine for about 30 seconds and then the screen when white, never to return. The second one did not suffer the same fate. The unit I is on the very cheap side. Button's are extremely cheesy and not likely to last. The image is OK, for a unit in this price bracket. The color reproduction is way off with no way to adjust. Would be fine for maps and interface graphics where color accuracy is not important. Brightness and contrast control are almost worthless. Adjusting either of these in any direction other than down just whites the screen out. The images does not get brighter or more contrast past 50% , it just disappears. The big question is how long will it last on the dash in sun? It seems fragile and not meant to suffer the harsh environment sitting in a car, but I will give it a try and see if it lasts. I was hoping it would be better made, not high expectations, but really seems a D to D- in all categories.

It does what I purchased for. The picture is fantastic and the fact it has an HDMI port is a plus! That is why I purchased it.

It has an HDMI mini plug which makes it a pain in the but to find a cable that works with this monitor.

It is really for use in a minivan and DVD p!ayer. But works well on some video cams with HDMI inputs.
