Dead within an hour of non-use.
Literally, the YAOGONG 777A Soldering iron was not producing any heat within an hour of use.I knew I may have made a colossal mistake in purchasing this soldering station when Iopened the box and the soldering iron was in two pieces – see attached photo.I screwed the two parts back together, plugged in the 777A and commenced using the soldering Iron –well I turned it on anyway.I turned the iron to its hottest setting, as I needed to de-solder some 803 SMD LEDs, andwaited at least ten minutes before attempting to de-solder an SMD LED, only to have theiron come apart again. So I waited for it to cool down, re-screwed the plastic sections back together, waited for the iron to heat up again, but this time it just remained cold – dead within an hour ofnon-use. I tossed it in the trash, where it belonged in the first place, walked over to my neighborsand borrowed his 15 year old 35 W Weller Soldering iron - Job done.A rating of 1 is 100% more than the YAOGONG 777A deserves.

Save your Money
Bought 10 of these for a learn to solder event. They are absolute junk, if you didn't get them back in the base just right the base would melt. confusing listing so no extra tips. the retaining ring kept popping off since it was obvious that it wasn't heat resistant plastic. All ten ended up in the trash after 2 days of use.

Works great for cheap
The plastic nut got hot and loosened so I glued it back on

Critical parts break early
The threading that held the tip to the handle of the unit could not hold the pressure of the spring behind it. Lasted for 10 hours of use before breaking completely. Temperature could barely get high enough to solder. Significant safety hazard, do not purchase.

WARNING! Do not buy this iron
This soldering iron worked for one day then died. Also the iron does not sit in the holder snugly and burnt the plastic housing below the tip. Definitely a fire hazard too! I threw it in the trash.
