I did the homework....
I ended up doing way more research on the perfect wallet than I had planned. My goal was minimal profile, durable, approximately (7) cards and an option to carry cash. I ended up buying my top three to try them all out. The Ranger Minimalist won out because has every attribute I'm looking for. I have to be honest, I really liked another wallet for it's very high-tech 'Decadent' design. The attractive design was hard to resist, and it performed as advertised, but didn't accommodate for cash w/out adding an additional money clip, cards were too exposed and the durability was a huge risk. I've also seen wallets upwards of $200 that didn't have the same ease of functionality as the Ranger Minimalist. I've not tested the RFID capability on this wallet personally, but based on the coverage It's got to be as good or better than most other RFID blocking options. The awesome multi-tool is a bonus for me, that was not on my 'must have' list but I'm glad I have it. I feel like I found the perfect wallet.

Like a vault and Leatherman for your IDs and credit cards
Great little item. First off, I only gave it 4 stars because I would like the sides to be a tad higher; to carry 2-3 more cards. But I freely admit doing that would go against the minimalist purpose and I'm still a recovering pack-rat.It's stout and weighty. It is not like carrying a brick but you know you have it. I've swapped a MagPul wallet for this. Nothing wrong with the MagPul but this has more functionality and keeps my cards from bending. The fit and finish is great. The coating is even and durable. The logo is sharp and even. The whole unit fits together as it should and stays tight with the included band.I love the concept of these new wallets. It forces me to be more organized. I no longer have the option of stuffing receipts, business cards and other things into my wallet, a lá George Costanza. If I really need to keep something I record it on my iPhone.I'm not sure about TSA letting you on a plane with this, so I'd be prepared to check this and carry ID in your pocket. But this is great for the person trying to slim down their carried items, wants some extended functionality from their wallet and enjoys a fine, durable, MADE IN USA tool/accessory. It would also make a wonderful gift for the gadget geek in your life.I don't know if it was on purpose or with all states DLs, but you can see that my donor option is visible through one of the nut driver holes. Nice touch. If I get into something that I don't survive, this wallet will and my final wishes can be honored.

this is the best one. Forgetting all of the built-in tool options
I have tried other minimalist wallets and I have to say that without a doubt, this is the best one. Forgetting all of the built-in tool options, just as a functional wallet without bulk, it is amazing. I bought it to replace my leather money clip / credit card holder that got stretched out over time and if you took out any of the cards to make it lighter, the remaining cards just dumped right out. The reason for the change was that I was traveling overseas and did not want to have so much bulk in my pocket and the added RFID blocking was a plus. This has a great feel and although it is steel, it is not heavy in your front pocket. Another nice thing is that the bottom piece has edges that are formed at a 90 degree angle so that it gives it a bit of a "box-like" hold on your cards...keeping them from falling out. Others that I have seen are only two pieces of cheap aluminum that are flat and held together with flimsy elastic. With those designs, the only thing holding the cards in is the elastic itself. The elastic on this one is thick and well made. It will certainly hold up to years of use. Other wallets where you have to push on the cards from the side (not the end, like with this one) are so much harder at taking cards in and out. When you push those cards from the longer edge to remove them, there is less of the credit card remaining in the wallet and you are much more likely to have the multiple cards fall out when trying to get just one. Getting cards out is so simple with this one--just push up from the bottom where there is a cut out area (what also doubles as a bottle opener). And like I said, because you are pushing up from the bottom, there is more of the card that is still held by the tension of the wallet and they don't have any tendency to want to all fall out at once. And yes, I have gotten some use out of the bottle opener. Seriously, I have talked this item up so much with my friends that they think I have ownership stake! GREAT product!

I've already opened beers with it.
This is my first minimalist wallet. So I'm not very experienced with this style of wallet. That being said the wallet is great. I really enjoy not having a bulky wallet in my pocket. We all carry a phone now, so that's where the pictures are. This thing is tough, I don't know how long the elastic band will last, but it seems fairly tough. The only draw back I have is the difficulty it is to go through the cards without pulling them all out.

With all of my cards in this wallet it is still smaller than my sleek leather wallet with nothing in it. The design is simple yet functional. Getting the cards out is a little weird at first but I got used to it pretty quick. Definitely feels like it can take a beating and keep my stuff well protected. Not sure how often I will use the tool, but the fact that it has this little tool kit is an added bonus on the rare occasion that I would need it.

SOLID EDC
I bought this wallet on May 24th. I needed a little time with it first. That being said I have been edc-ing this wallet everyday. I wear slacks M-F and on weekends its jeans. With slacks you defiantly know its in your pocket. Not in a bad way but it has a little weight to it. SOLID construction and very easy to get used too. In jeans it disappears. I carry 8 cards and a fisher space pen on the side attached to the well made bungee material. Perfect fit. If weight is an issue you can take the multi tool out and it helps a lot. Its also TSA friendly. I rarely carry cash but you could easily fold up a few bills and stash in the band.
