Bought this for myself as my sister got one and I thought they looked cool. Definitely glad I bought one. The sound is definitely as expected however you do need to tune them up beforehand (there is a guide included on how to do that)

Excellent little instrument, nice weight, feels good and sturdy. It was very tedious to tune it using a downloaded iPhone app. Once finally tuned it’s great. A gentle learning curve to play it.Overall satisfied.

Beautiful & original Christmas gift for a musician & was greatly appreciated. The whole family wanted a turn & the pretty sound was totally bearable with even the less melodic members attempting to play an hour later lol

This kalimba is designed poorly and will not make a good sound even after tuning. And it is unable to be tuned down a key to make a better tone. Get an other kalimba.
