I recently bought this hoping that it would help me to plan my visit to the moon. Unfortunately when I got there I found that the real moon was a lot bigger and some of the features on the model were not to scale. The real moon disappointingly wasn’t mounted on a wooden stand. Never mind. I have now returned back to Earth and I think I will use the Moon Lamp as a Objet D’Art to brighten my sad life. Maybe the manufacturers should sell this as a lamp rather than a tool to help plan interstellar travelling........

Wonderful lamp, lots of functions and great colours, great quality. But the batteries are quite funny. Sometimes its fully charged, I use it for an hour then when I try and put it on after a few days of not switching it on at all it just won't come on. It happened twice now. :-( But otherwise, great gift! Bought 2 more for my friends! We all love it!

Great item used for a night light in my daughter's bedroom she loves getting to choose a different colour every night before bed. The only reason it's not got five stars is the instructions do say you can turn it on and off by tapping on the front or sides but this is not actually correct it can only be controlled via the remote control or a small touch area near the charging point in the bottom. The transition controls on the remote don't always quite match the results. But these are small things as the rest of it works great. If anybody ever discovers what the two blue shoelace type things are in the box please let me know has nobody seems to have a clue!

Bought this as a gift for my partner, as she enjoys astronomy and she loves it! It was very easy to assemble the wooden stand the globe sits upon. It also comes with a hanging rope thingy if you wish to suspend it from somewhere, but was haven't used it. The lunar surface of the lamp looks spot-on and the variety of colours, from the basic "realistic" white through to the more vivid colours all look great. The remote is very handy and allows you to set the moon to individual colours or one of several settings. She prefers the "fade" control which gradually goes through all the colours. The moon needs to be charged every day via the provided USB cable. Fully-charged it will last about 4 hours, though this is on full brightness, so if it is set to a dimmer light it will last longer, no doubt.I did a lot of research (lol) before choosing this one and am very happy with it. Highly recommended.

There are so many of these on Amazon. After spending ages searching I went with this. So glad I did. It's the perfect size and does everything the others do. This one also looks very realistic. The level of detail is great. Charges up and also works plugged in.

Got this for my son, who didn’t like it because it kept glowing when he was trying to sleep, so I’ve got it now, and I love it, so silver lining for me.

The product was genuinely great. I was expecting something cheap and tatty that didn't work well. However the stand that moon sits on doesn't hold together. The wood is cheap and doesn't hold the weight of the mood without it collapsing underneath. I tried hammering the pieces together and it didn't work. The only problem I had was that
