Power DC Jack USB Port Charger Board for DELL Inspiron 1545

*** UPDATE 07/3/2018*** The laptop no longer charges. I have swapped out the battery and the charger with the same results. It has been a slow death. Been struggling for the last 6 weeks; adjusting the cord, switching outlets, etc. It has slowly gotten worse and worse until today, nothing will charge the battery. The laptop will still run but the battery refuses to charge, otherwise it's a 1 star.*** Original Review *** It fits and it works. Unfortunately, the RJ45 port doesn't fit flush with the side of my Dell Inspiron 1545. There is a considerable gap around the port housing and the cosmetic case of the 1545. It's almost like there should have been some kind of plastic frame around the ethernet port that they just didn't put on the board. It's not some subtle thing, either. It's an obvious thing that sticks out like a sore thumb. If the laptop wasn't 6 or 7 years old I would be a lot more disappointed but since it's kind of the utility PC it's not a big deal since everything works well functionally,

Perfect replacement. It will look like you don't have to remove the motherboard to replace this part, don't be fooled. You can remove it with the MB intact, but snapping that connector back together is nearly impossible with the board in place.

Arrived on time. As described. Wasn't easy to install, but that has nothing to do with the seller. I plugged in my power adapter and it recognized it immediately. Been plugged in for a couple hours now...so far so good.

the part was not in a static bag was concerned could of been more professorial packaging as for electronics are concerned
