Very dull out of the box
It is very dull out of the box. I don’t expect it to be scary sharp, but at least sharper than what I got

Beau couteau
Je ne doute pas de la qualité de ce petit couteau. Les Japonais sont maîtres en couteaux. Sauf que... je ne l'ai pas reçu....

A great marking tool I love using
I explicitly chose the Shintaro because it was double edged and it marks nicely on both sides of the knife - that makes me feel like I can just mark my lines without awkwardly turning the blade over. It was also similar in size and shape to a regular carpentry pencil I'm used to using, but the Shintaro is much more precise with a much finer line. Scribing a line through the wood fibres got my saw blade started much more precisely. I wish I bought this exact knife years ago.Simple, comfortable to use, and super sharp when it got to me. This is a fantastic marking knife I'll use on every project I build from now on.

Perfektes Messer für Lederarbeiten
Ich war schon lange auf der suche nach einem "Kneip" - Schustermesser, aber leider sind diese sehr schwer zu bekommen. Und wenn man Glück hat und eines findet, dann zu horrenden Preisen. Zufällig bin ich auf dieses japanische "Markiermesser" gestoßen, welches eigentlich "Kiridashi-Kogatana" heißt. Diese Messer gibt mit Anschliff auf der linken Seite - für Linkshänder, mit Anschliff auf der rechten Seite - für Rechtshänder und Anschliff auf zwei Seiten, für allgemeine und freihändige Arbeiten. Diese Messer eignen sich super für die Lederbearbeitung, sind superscharf und beständig. Ohne "Schnickschnack - Griffe" liegen diese Messer gut in der Hand und kann sie gut führen. Ich bin froh, dieses Messer entdeckt zu haben - eine klare Kaufempfehlung!
