Naturehike Mongar 2 Person Backpacking Tent 3 Season Free-Standing Lightweight Hiking Tent for Outdoor Activities

As other reviewers mention, this tent compares favorably with much more expensive tents. For comparison, I have an REI half-dome (budget) and a Big Agnes HV UL (premium). This tent feels higher quality and is lighter than the REI one, and is almost as nice as the Big Agnes one - which is very impressive. Zippers work smoothly and the coating on the rain fly repels water well.However, I mainly bought this tent for the color. MORE PURPLE TENTS PLEASE. The quality was a great surprise. I was also delighted to discover that the tent stakes are all bright purple as well with yellow cords attached. Bonus: this makes them easy to see in the dirt or sand.I love this tent and it's a joy to use.

I just received the tent and set it up in my place. The actual internal dimensions are 78" x 48" x 42" (198 x 122 x 107cm). They are NOT 83" x 53" x 40"!! That's five inches short on both width and length. The tent is set up correctly and fully stretched out. The only way to get the advertised dimensions are by forcefully stretching out the side walls, e.g., such as by having your head and feet pushing against the walls. I'm slightly over 6'2" tall (74"). Laying in my heavy sleeping bag I'm definitely going to be pushing the limits. I can well imagine how that's going to play out in weather that's causing condensation on the internal surfaces. How can Naturehike misstate this in good conscience and get away with it? I hope they will respond to this review.Update 8/13: No response from company. Just so you know...

If you’re familiar with the MSR Hubba Hubba then you’ll notice this tent is essentially a clone. The good news is, the Hubba Hubba is an incredible tent so the value you’re getting here is great. I’ve taken this tent out only for a handful of nights and it has performed admirably.The rainfly provides a vestibule on both sides so both individuals in the tent have a place to store their gear. The tent also had doors on both sides which is a huge perk when you’re sharing the tent with someone - no climbing over them to go to the bathroom during the night.The ventilation on this tent is awesome, even with the rainfly on. The rainfly has vented ports on each side which are propped out by these plastic sticks and Velcro that’s built in.There is an overhead gear loft which I used for a light, my phone, and to hang a small fan. A very useful and underrated feature.Package comes with everything you need, stakes and ground tarp included. Also, the tent is freestanding so it can be set up anywhere.Great for backpacking with another person too. At around 4 lbs, the tent can be split and carried at ~ 2lbs a person which is rather reasonable.

We got this tent for our upcoming camping trip in July, haven't camped since our college years so we were looking for something easy to set up and it has to be our daughter's favorite color, purple. Found what we were looking for and it is just as described. My husband and I set it up within 10 minutes and it is bigger than we expected, I would say it comfortably fits the three of us. It has entry on both sides and an extra netting inside for storage which we think it's pretty thoughtful.

The weight of the tent I got (only counting the inner mesh tent, the rain fly, and the poles, no stakes, no guylines, nothing else) was only 3 lbs 8 oz.

No instructions so it took a minute to figure out how to assemble. I like that it came with a ‘footprint’ tarp. Not as impressed with the bottom floor - I was camping on hard packed desert. Tiny bits of gravel inevitably followed me into the tent and in two days had punched holes in the floor. Sure I can slap duct tape over them but was hoping for a more durable fabric. It’s a stand alone design but I did use the provided pegs because of the gusting wind. No rain encountered yet.

Honestly, I bought this tent because it was purple. I am a beginner backpacker. I have only slept in this tent in my backyard, but I did find it to be a very good tent. It is small and lightweight. I had no problems setting it up on my own. I kept the tent up all weekend and never did it get wet on the inside even with extremely dewy mornings. The rain fly did get wet and I do wish there was an easier way to get it to stay open when I was trying to get out in the morning because it basically soaked me, but that may just take more experience on my part. The vestibule is nice sized and I love the doors on both sides. My husband and I slept in there together on the first night. The temperature got down to 40F and we were comfortable all night. The second night I slept in there by myself. It was definitely roomier without my husband, but even with both of us in it, there was plenty of room in the tent. It was easy to take down and fit right back into the stuff stack. I am very glad with my purchase. I am excited to see how it does when we go on an actual trip.

We were able to compare the Naturehike Mongar 2 side-by-side to several other tents of same basic design, price range, weight and features. The Mongar 2 blew them away and is without a doubt the best bang for the buck! It favorably competes with tents twice or more the price. Excellent fit and finish. Weight and dimensions are as advertised...which seems to be the exception rather than the rule as tents go. Highly recommended!

ネイチャーハイクのテントは二つ目です。これからの季節に3シーズンテントの買い替えで購入。ためし張りの感想など。ネイチャーハイクのcloud up2のアップグレード版を持っているのでそれとの比較で書いていきます。設営は簡単です。このメーカーのものはどれも素早く設営できそうなものばかりなのが特長ですね。cloud up2もわりとどんな地形でも簡単に設営できます。このmonger2も吊り下げ式で簡単に設営／撤収ができそうですが、フォルム的にcloud up2より多少地形に気配りが必要かもしれません。形は左右対称なので、cloud up2よりも畳みやすいですね。適当に畳んでたら、送られてきた時よりもコンパクトになっちゃいました笑組み立ててみると、まん中のサブポールのおかげで居住空間はかなり広々と感じられます。一人での使用ならかなり余裕があります。フライを張るシステムがcloud up2とは違っていて、四隅に付けられた穴の空いた平金具にポール先端をはめるようになっています。cloud up2はプラのバックルをインナーの四隅と連結してからフライの張り具合を楽に調整できますが、こちらは絞るのがちょっと固い感じになります。また、そのシステムのためにフライを張ってからでないとインナーがペグダウンできませんので、風のある時は設営に苦労するかもしれません。仮止めするとか、二人で組むとかすれば問題は少ないし、フォルムはこちらの方が安定感があるので、その辺は相殺されてあまり使い勝手に影響はないのかもしれませんが。。。フロアはバスタブになっておらず、フロアと立ち上りは別パーツをダブルステッチで連結のうえ、内側はシームシールで処理されています。このメーカーさんは値段の割に縫製やシーム処理が良いので、よっぽどの悪天候下でないかぎりは充分でしょうけど、ちょっと残念です。ちなみにインナーのフロア四隅もちゃんとシールしてあります。剥がれもありませんでした。フライにはベンチレーションが二ヶ所あります。ベンチレーションの三角部分にはメッシュなどはなく、穴が空いているだけの状態です。インナーのメッシュで虫は防げるので問題はないのでしょうが、これも少し残念です。ただ、サポートはしっかりとしたものが入っているので、機能的には全くといって良いほど問題ないと思います。フルメッシュのインナー＋左右どちらからでもテント内にアクセスできるようになっているので、通気性はかなり高いです。cloud up2はベンチレーションが１つで、真夏の低地での使用は厳しいのでこれからの季節はこちらのテントが活躍してくれそうです。重量はcloud up2よりも80gほど重いようですが、当然ながら持った感じでは違いは分かりません笑1.8㎏なので、バックパッキングにも持っていけます。メーカー的には海外でも人気のcloud upシリーズが主力ラインナップなのか、こちらは一段下のグレードのように感じます。とはいえ、縫製やデザイン、細部の造り込みにはこれといって妥協は感じられませんし、素材もcloud upシリーズと同等のものが使われていて実用上は問題は無さそうです。まぁ、特選タイムセールでかなり安く購入できたのでとりあえずは満足な商品です。実戦投入してから、また追記しにきます。【5/3追記】購入後、2泊ほど使用しました。一回は零度前後の中での使用で、当然ながら死ぬほど寒かったですね笑私の天気の読みが甘かったので、仕方ないですね。なので、やはり3シーズン用です。もう一回は、GWのキャンプ場で使用しました。山の中腹辺りにあるところでしたが、寒くはなく快適に過ごせました。通気性も良く、日中でもテント内の温度が上がることはありませんでした。夏もそこそこ快適に使用できそうです。設営に関しては大変楽で、時間もかかりません。フロアの縫製もしっかりしていて、耐久性もありそうです。Cloud up2は構造上、少しフロアの隅が浮くのですが、こちらは張り込むシステムが違うこともあってか、浮き上がりは少なくて良いと思います。フルメッシュ＋ベンチレータで蒸れもありませんし、これからの季節に活躍してくれそうです。ソロキャンパー、野営愛好家におすすめですね。

1.8キログラムと軽くて設置も簡単です。私はキャンプ初心者ですがそれでも15分位で立ち上げることができました。中国のメーカーですが、フレームの構造などは海外の有名なテントと遜色ありません。壁面の立ち上がりが垂直になるフレーム構造の為、自立式のテントの中ではかなり室内が広く、フライシート色がライトグレーで明るく、思った以上に広く感じます。前室が両側にあり靴やバックパックを両方に置けますし、換気もしやすく開放感があります。私は身長180センチですが座っても天井に頭がつくことがなく寝ても少し余裕があります。子供と2人で寝てみましたが小さい子供と夫婦の3人でも寝れる広さだと思いました。購入の決め手は、素材がシルナイロンであることでした。ポリウレタンのコーティングが経年変化でベタつく劣化する等と比べて、高級なテントで使われているシルナイロンは耐候性が高いそうです。この商品を長期間使ったわけではないのですが、今見る限りとても質感も良く縫製もしっかりしているので長期間使った後の変化も今から楽しみです。

評判通り軽量で住居空間も広く防水性も問題ないです。北海道旭岳の裏旭岳野営場での風にも問題ありませんでした。その際、ペグ10本中6本しか使用していません。購入後1か月ぐらいで20泊弱の使用をしました。その17泊目ぐらいでしょうかテント内に虫が侵入しているのに気が付きメッシュ部分を点検すると2cm位の穴が開いていました。車移動で収納袋も使用していないので、なぜ破けていたのか不明ですが信頼していただけに残念です。後日メーカーに連絡したところ、インナーテント、又付属のペグ（2本折れ曲がったので）を1年保証と言う事で、郵送してもらいました。神対応なんて安易な言葉は使いたくありませんが、まさにそれでした。本国ではこのメーカの修理用パッチが販売されていますが（500円程度だったような？）、応急処置でも良いので（夏場は無視が入り込むので）メッシュ用の補修パッチもあったら嬉しいかと思います。因みに、元から前室があるのですが、更に少し大きめの（大人が座り込めて何とか調理できる位）拡張前室テントが本国で販売されています（7~8000円程度）。希望としては、補修用パッチ、上記拡張前室テント、又スカート付きのフライ、これらが日本で販売されれば使用用途が広くなるのになーっと思った次第です。いずれにせよ、軽く・安価・住居性能、又、見た目も良く、最近のキャンプ場ではこのメーカーのテントもだいぶ見ることが多くなってきましたので、その追加がっての良さの証左なのでしょう。

タイムセールで、お安くなっていたので購入しました。軽量コンパクトで、必要最低限を満たしています。ハードに使うにはフロア生地が薄く、グランドシートが必須だと思います。強風の時はポールの強度が心配で、張り綱必須だと思います。片手でチャックのフルオープン＆フルクローズ出来ないのが不満でした。インナーがフルメッシュなので、寝袋にもよりますが5℃以上かな～。キャンプでなくとも、インナー無しで日差し除けなどにも使えて重宝しそうです。色々書きましたが、概ね満足です。タイムセールの時が、買いだと思います！

買ってから2度ほど使用してからフライシートのファスナーの位置が少しずれているのを見つけたので交換してもらおうと連絡をとるとすぐに新品のフライシートを送ってくれました
