After decades of reading poems and literature, here is a gem that I can really highly recommend.If you have ever been in love, if you ever had a broken heart or emotional pains, been the victim of narcissistic abuse, or have ever been betrayed, this is the book for you.Wonderfully structured, with riveting insights to her pain and analogies that help you escape, yet they also show you a bare soul that yearns for soothing warmth - as long as it doesn't burn her, again. You can feel the fragility and the strength it required for her to write such wonderful lines.A fantastic book that will leave you stunned at times, and other poems show that you are not alone in your pain and anguish, others do feel what you feel, and others do understand what you are going through. You are not alone in your pain. This book put all of those painful sleepless nights in words - and they will resonate with you for a long time. This helped me to heal. (yes, even guys have emotional issues that require healing, some times, so sue me....)After I read one poem, I put the book down, stared into the void for 20 minutes, just thinking about what I had just read, then I read it again, still mesmerized, and said out loud: Thank you.If they would let me, I would give it 100 stars.

Ms. Nigro's book is a collection of secret wounds, private eulogies for trauma and loss, resilient self care, and hidden power. Every page is a miniature world on its own. Though the poetry comes from a place of recognizing sadness, and rage, and isolation, the author finds every opportunity to relish the beautiful things life has to offer, to hope and look for them, even in the dark.

I bought this book by recommendation. And let me tell you, the stories these poems tell are dark but also show the light at the end of the tunnel. Inspiring that you can get through anything and there will always be good things to come. I look forward to more work from her in the future!

This book was incredible. It touched my SOUL!!!!! Poetry is not my thing but this book is a story through poems. The author exposes her deepest darkest feelings and then comes out with positivity and hope. Very well written. Looking forward to more book by this author!!!!

I thought this was a wonderfully written book. I don't usually read much poetry, but this was more like a book. I was only going to read a few poems, but read the whole book at once! Looking forward to more publications from Cynthia Nigro
