Power house
This thing cranks out the power I have it hooked up to a Skar evl at 1 ohm and it gives it all the power and it’s super small amazing product I should have got the bigger one but I had smaller subs at the time but it’s definitely 1700 watt rms hands down

Works
It just barely fit inside my reckless fairing and has plenty of power to spare. I made the mistake of buying the cheap pyle before this and that one didn't even push tweeters. This has power to spare

Awesome amp!!
Sound quality is excellent. I am an OTR HVAC guy, and this unit gets CRANKED 3 to 6 hours a day on my route since 12/2023 and it's still rockin!!!

Burned out in 1.5 years
7/5/2021 UpdateAfter 1.5 years, the amp not only failed on me, but also caused a scary, terrible electrical smell. In those 1.5 years, the amp was barely used because of the pandemic. I would say it ran maybe 4 hours, and that would be generous. The amp was installed inside the boat, and the boat itself was stored in my driveway with a cover. The manufacturer’s website had abundant strict language saying they basically wouldn’t do anything in my situation, which leads me to believe this probably happens a lot. Unfortunately, I bought 2 of these. I ended up replacing them both with 2 MTX MUDD100.4, which is basically the same output, and I only paid $225 for them, which is not much more than what the NVX goes for today. Back when I bought the NVX, they were only $150, which seemed to be a bargain. Now that they’re basically the same price as the MTX, you may as well get MTX’s solid reputation. From now on, I’m no longer getting off-brand stereo equipment. They just don’t last. To put it in perspective, I used to have a NON-marine grade JL Audio amp in that same location that lasted 10 years! And it still works except for 1 channel! And that was NON-marine grade! The supposed marine grade NVX lasted just a fraction of that time and completely burned out. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks today to save yourself from an eventual electrical fire and replacement a year later.——————————————————Original ReviewI never heard of NVX before, so I did some research and found that they are a reputable company. YouTube dynos show that they exceed their rated specs, so I went forward and got one to power my Wetsounds REV8’s (bridged to 2 channels). This amp has a really small footprint, which makes mounting in limited spaces very easy. I was skeptical at first when running this at a very low volume and the amp getting really hot to the touch! I would run the speakers at a whisper and it would still be super hot! I did some more research and I saw that amps can run above 130 F and would be considered just fine, yet this temperature would be pretty much unbearable to touch. I also read that small amps will run very hot. Knowing this, I kept with it.Despite the heat this thing generates, I rated this 5 stars because it sounds absolutely spectacular. Previously I had a MBQuart amp powering these speakers, and they would always have a bit of static in the background. With the NVX, static was completely absent, and the REV8’s would sing very loud, but very clear with no distortion. I was so impressed with how they sound, I just ordered a second amp to power my in-boat speakers. I plan to run 2 pairs of speakers in parallel on 2 channels for a 2 ohm load, and another pair on the last 2 channels for a 4 ohm load. They are currently powered by a JL Audio 6 channel amp (one of channels went out), which has the same static that the MB Quart amp had. I’m hoping the NVX will finally rid this for me, and I’m also hoping they’ll make my speakers sound as clear as the REV8’s.Long term reliability is still in the air for me, so I’ll update if I run into any issues. So far though, NVX is now my “go to” amp, and I have owned JL Audio, Kenwood, MB Quart, Rockville, Planet Audio, Cadence, and Profile amps in the past. Their price is near rock bottom, sounds fantastic, has a tiny footprint, and everything I’ve read on them is positive. The big name companies should watch out..

1 year running strong
1 year down and still running flawlessly. Best five channel amp i have every owned. With honestly more power output then what it advertised. Reminds me of the old-school cheater amps watch dyno videos of these amps on YouTube. This amp puts out over 125watts above what they are rated for on just the sub channel.

Impressed
After over 40 years as an audio technician I have tried tested and installed numerous different power amps over the years. Having purchased this one the quality of construction is very good, the end sound result is excellent and it does produce the RMS figures stated, in fact it exceeds them so top marks to NVX for being transparent unlike many other of the manufacturers. The only negatives I can say are 1. the mounting holes are small, meaning you have to use smaller bolts or screws than one would like, secondly there is no illuminated logo, this is surprising considering the rest of the quality of this unit, not only does a lighted logo look great aesthetically, but also especially on a boat where the unit is under cover for protection, you cannot at a glance see if its turned on in certain installation positions without crawling under it and looking for the little blue LED light, you dropped the ball there NVX.Re the smallish mounting holes i used two strips of aluminum with keyhole type holes so as instead of holding the amp in the air whilst you mark or drill the holes, you can install the screws into the boat fiber wall the just hang the unit over the screws to then secure the two bottom screws. The actual unit is mounted to the ally strips with nylon washers and stainless bolts. Highly recommend this unit as its a class above most at the price and certainly equal in quality to Fusion, Garmin etc which are 4 times the price. GOOD JOB NVX Last but not least this is installed on a 2001 Sea Ray 240 Sundeck in the under helm area. The Amps are supplied by their own battery and not connected to the boats other two main batteries, this solves any interference problems along with not stranding you at sea should the great sounds you've been listening too, then drain your main batteries and you cant start the boat.
