Beware, potential fire hazard.
Beware. I returned this product due to the very high temperatures this cord reached. The connection between the female 12 volt cigarette lighter outlet and the male 12 volt plug to the cooler reached such a high temperature that the female outlet deformed into an oval shape. This behavior commenced from the first time I used this cord.Previously, I had no issues with the 40 quart cooler on DC power.Maybe my product was defective in some way. However, I decided to pay more and buy the brand name AC cord instead.

Runs DC powered cooler without issue
This ac/dc converter worked great right out of the box and I was able to use it continuously for 48 hrs running a Coleman DC powered cooler. No issues and it worked flawlessly.

Works as expected.
I purchased this to use with a portable lunch box food warmer because a small cordless unit did not work. Although I would have preferred a cordless unit this one works as expected.
