Perfect for a small room.
I've had this A/C for about a month now, and so far it's perfroming better than expected. Most A/C's--regardless of how "quiet" they claim to be--are anything but quiet. I've had a problem over the years with various models in that the filter always seems to vibrate against the front vents, making a loud buzzing sound. This one did the same thing. So I did what I have always done, and put a small piece of foam rubber in between the slots of the vent covering. In the past, this helped, but was still annoying. When I did it to this A/C, it actually got quiet, so much so that it's hard to tell when the condenser is running because it makes the same soft sound as the fan. For the first time in years, I don't have to turn my TV volume up because of the racket. Whoever invents a slide-in filter that can be in place and not make noise should patent it!For a small unit, there are a lot of extra features and settings that I'll never use, because all I care about is the "cooling" mode and the fan speed. The extra features translates to a very complicated remote control that has a LCD that could be an airliner control panel. It's more of a bother to try and jump through all the hoops to get to the right setting, so I just use the front touch-control buttons. For most people, if the remote got lost or broken, it wouldn't really matter because the touch-control buttons offer the same options--just a matter of cycling through the modes. If you want a small, very quiet window air-conditioner this would be an excellent choice. It's easy to install, and is fairly lightweight, so one person can do it.

Should have bought this long ago.
This unit is small and gets the job done with ease. It did take me a little while to get it setup with my SmartLife app, which is not the app they help you set up in the instruction. I just prefer to use the SmartLife app so with some patience and determination I was able to get it going. It only took a few minutes to figure it out so no big deal.I also like the look of the unit. I mean it's a window AC and for it not to be ugly is quite the accomplishment.I am using this in my Craft/Maker/Hobby shop and is not the best insulated part of my home plus it has a 3D printer giving off heat most times of most days with the bonus of a really hot summer it got the job done and kept the room cool while also reducing humidity. The room is 10 x 20 foot but there is another 10 x 20 foot room opposite of a partitioning wall that has no insulation at all in one section. Other than the missing insulation the wall is solid from floor to ceiling and from the front to the back of the room and this AC has somehow managed to cool that room considerably this summer.I recommend this little AC unit and it has been great. I also love that with the app I can schedule it easily from my phone to autoadjust in many ways but my favorite is when it comes on when I turn the lights on in the room. The remote that came with the unit is nice as well but I honestly have only used it once when I first installed the batteries. After that I have used nothing but the app or the smart scenes.

The Air Conditioner Itself is Good; The Remote, Not So Much
It cools my bedroom quickly and keeps it comfortable. It isn't literally quiet, obviously, but the noise level is lower than most air conditioners with which I have experience. My electric bills are down from last summer, which would seem to confirm the claim of its energy efficiency. I tend not to use the advanced features, mainly because the remote is confusing and unreliable. It's easily the worst appliance remote control I've ever used. The button layout is confusing, and presses often seem not to register. It's like an annoying puzzle you have to solve in order to do anything more complex than turning the machine on or off.But the price was right. It does its job well, albeit not perfectly. I'm satisfied.

Nice and cool.
I love this air conditioner. It has a strong fan and keeps my place very cool. However I can criticize a couple things:1. The remote control is absolutely hideous. The sensor is is off and I have clean vision right to the unit. It does have an app that people complain about, but I think the device shuts the Wi-Fi off in order to save energy or something so you have to click the room and then back to the air conditioner to get the app to work fine.2. Yes it is loud especially when the fan is high. however it is a 10,000 BTU air conditioner and the noise is acceptable because it does keep me very cool even in 90° weather.

A steal for this simple small A/C unit.
I have owned this for five very muggy days, and I am more than pleased. It has worked well at night time, too, when the air outside was in the low 70's and humid. Super simple to operate. Easy to assemble the accordian style window spacer/bracket. The right size for our room (around 120 square feet). At the coldest setting, the room was 68 degrees, which is definitely more than cool enough for us. I consider it to be very quiet; my son sleeps well with it on. There is no remote, no electronic controls, just dial controls. It comes with a GFCI plug, too, as with other air conditioners. This appears to be, but I have not confirmed, the exact same air conditioner as the Haier, Frigidaire, and other 5,000 BTU models, just with a different brand name. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a foam insert strip for filling in the air holes around its installed location. Warranty is one year parts and service, two years parts only. It does not come with a stand for supporting its weight outside the window. It may not need it because it is relatively small for an air conditioner (I have never seen one smaller, actually). I made my own support out of wood, just to be extra safe in my 4 year old's room. I would also reccomend a window stop for the lower casement window for extra safety around children.
