This is an 8", not a 10"
This product's dimensions are *NOT* 10 X 5 X 10 inches as listed. If you're looking for a 10-inch masala dabba, this isn't it.The actual dimensions are:Big container (closed):Diameter 8-1/4"Height 3-7/8"Big container (open, without the lid):Diameter 8"Height 3"Small containers:Diameter 2-5/8"Height 2-3/4"Spoons:Length 4-1/4"Width 15/16"Weight:2 pounds 8-1/2 ouncesSpoons:The spoons aren't classic masala dabba spoons. They are straight up and down, rather than the curved shape, which makes it harder to use in a small cup. They are espresso (demitasse) spoons. They hold a lot less than a classic masala dabba spoon which has a wide-v shape at the edge. The same wide-v shape also prevents powders from spilling over the edge by directing them to pool in the middle and the edges acting as a kind of slanted wall. But these demitasse spoons don't have that, so they hold less and are much more likely to spill powders while going from spice pot to the cooking pot.Stacking:It does not stack. It has a highly polished and therefore slippery, rounded top. If you attempt to stack them, they will slide off at the slightest movement, and that would be a disaster with all the powders inside. The clear lid is not glass. It's a good quality plastic material. However, it is prone to scratches and already had minor cosmetic scratches on arrival. The highly polished stainless steel exterior is also prone to scratches, and had minor cosmetic scratches on arrival.Packaging (of the product, not Amazon's packing):It was very well packed in a sturdy box with bubble wrap and plastic wrap of each individual piece.Looks well built and like a quality product. It could be stainless steel plated, rather than built of stainless steel, although I cannot be sure.

Excellent product, happy with purchase.
Love the quality and the size. It's pretty thick and heavy duty steel and the individual containers are nice and deep. I have bought other spice containers and have always been disappointed by the size but this one is perfect for my kitchen. Big enough to fit in my cupboard near the stove and also big enough to hold spices for many meals, not just a couple, so I don't have to keep refilling it every other day.I've read other reviews that say that the lid doesn't close when the spoons are inside but I haven't had that issue. The lid closes fine with the spoons, you just have to make sure that they are placed properly and not sticking out.It would have been nice if this container came with an inner lid as well, a clear one would be perfect, but it's not such a huge issue. I haven't had any issues with the spice smells mixing as the lid does fit well, snug and tight.I'm very happy with this purchase. So much so that I've just bought another one to give to my mum as a present. She saw mine and loved it.It is also resonably priced for what it is, as I've come across some quite expensive masala dabbas on here. Highly recommended especially if, like me, you cook curries every other day.

I cannot believe its size
This arrived today and I transferred all my spices that i used to keep in gerber bottles to this! I was looking for a masala dabba. Indian cooking has a hassle- you dont get time to get the spices out because while tempering it may burn if you delay the whole process of taking it out and measuring. Having them in gerber bottles was inconvenient with one spoon for all spices. A masala dabba will make our lives easy with all repetitive spices used in one place and because of its open design its very easy to use it while the oil is heated and ready to get the tempering in.Once this came in and I began to fill in i realized the boxes inside were SUPER DEEP. Its not like the masala boxes in india where they are flat. This holds A LOT. Each box inside has its own spoon I couldnt ask for more. I was literally jumping for joy. Now about its quality while i was wiping it down i felt that the steel wasnt cheap the edges werent sharp or anything. The see through lid is not only practical but super super cute with all the colorful spices showing. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I will definitely consider this as a gift and repurchase for someone that cooks Indian.

Spoon for each spice!
On my fourth masala tin in the last 20 years (not because anything was wrong with the rest, just kept giving it away to friends who wanted one)... and this is my favorite out of all of them. Clear glass on top to showcase your beautiful array of colored spices. I have never had a separate spoon for each spice! It's extravagant and cool! I mostly still use one because when my oil heats up quickly, I have to move fast to get all the spices in there to bloom them in time, but I love the idea of separates and for slower-paced cooking it works out fine. The tin is deeper than any other I have ever had (because has to be able to hold all the individual spoons) -- and I like that because I don't have to refill my spices as often (we cook Indian food for our family 2-4 times weekly). Only con is water got under the glass rim stuck between metal and glass and had to blowdry it out after cleaning for the first time (or the moisture will ruin your masalas). But I don't clean my tin *that* often so it's a minor nuisance. Would highly recommend as a first time tin or a tin for a regular Indian cook!

Exactly What I Was Looking For! But Watch Out For One Thing...
We have these back in India (we called it a "Mother vessel"), and no one over here knew what I was talking about when I asked stores if they carried them. They showed me a spice rack. ::shudder:: After a bit of research I came across this, and it is exactly what I needed. It is perfect for spices, and is very pretty. I want to get another one soon. The only criticism with this brand is that that lid is far too low and keeps making the spoons in the spices flip over, getting into other spices or the counter-top. You can either fill the cups up about one-quarter of the way or put the lid lightly on top.

Excellent Value for the Money!
This is a an excellent product. Made in India and feels very solid. The only negative thing that prevents me from giving this a 5 star is that the spoons are too long so you can't close the lid properly. If they were just a 1cm of so shorter it would be perfect. Other then that can't complain of the quality.

Good product, but still significant drawbacks
I like the steel bowl and compartments, but you cannot close the lid completely when the spoons are in the compartments. It's just badly designed. Also, the transparent top is made of plastic, so it has kind of a cheap feel.If those things don't botter you, then you won't be disappointed.
