See Thru Hurdy Gurdy Music Box- SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW

Nice little music box. Sounds good and works great. Fun stocking stuffer. They have many different songs to choose from.

Much smaller then I expected but still cute and plays the sound :)

I ordered this for my significant other for Valentine's Day. The box it came in seemed sturdy enough, yet when I opened it, the music box didn't play and the plastic was cracked. The crank just sort of rattled around and didn't catch on the gear. I sent the manufacturer an email, hoping to get a new one sent to me. They apologized, said they didn't have any more in stock, but as soon as they did, they would send me one (or a return code or something). They requested pictures of the box it came in and the damage to the product, which I promptly sent. To be thorough, I sent about 5 pictures. They never got back to me, and never sent a new one.Tired of waiting (3 1/2 months later), I gave my boyfriend the go-ahead to dismantle it to see if he could fix it. He took the plastic case off, which was incredibly cheap, and tinkered with it. We both thought it was one of the shoddiest pieces of work we've ever seen, like something a Fisher Price knock-off would try to sell in a foreign country. The crank barely does anything! It just doesn't catch or line up! So in order to get it to play, you have to press down on the bar that connects to the gear with your fingernail, while slowly turning the crank. Basically, you have to hold it together tightly to get it to work. I have distant memories of elementary school classmates making properly functioning music boxes as projects, so no offense, but it can't be THAT difficult. Seriously, don't buy this. It's junk.

the crank button is stiff,hard to wind smoothly.

Very sturdy, sounds delightful and my son loves watching the gears and things move. It is super cute. I love it. Plan to get more for holidays, birthdays and special occasions. Not like the picture though. That cute little yellow ball on the end of the crank is not actually on it. It is actually a small sleeve that matches the crank. No big deal.

This little music box was the perfect gift to send overseas (takes up little space and has a lot of meaning because of the song.) There are many songs to choose from! This may become a habit :o)

My grandson loved it. Kept playing it when he got. This is our song since he was born. We live in opposite ends of the USA.and so nice for little connections like this!

I didn't read the description well enough to notice that this music box has to be wound continuously to hear the music play. Which to me defeats the purpose of having it.
