Works and lasts!!
I've had this bark collar since Nov 2019 and it still works as of April 2021! We've gone through several other bark collars that either just didn't work well, malfunctioned, or just stopped working altogether. But this one takes a licking and keeps on ticking!!Pros:-The collar buckle/clip is still perfect working condition, which is crazy because we are constantly taking this off our dog and putting it back on, at least 5 times a day. I was hesitant about a plastic buckle/clip but this one is sturdy.-It works! Every time, until the battery starts getting low and this depends on how many times he sets it off. Usually it's about 2 weeks.- Sturdy! My 75lb dog bangs the collar on everything with his full weight, he's very active, clumsy, and likes roughhousing, even with his own toys that he basically beats himself with, hitting his collar too, and it still works.Cons-The cover on the front fell off rather quickly after purchasing, but I out it back on with some tape. My dog ran into something and busted it off again, this time, he permanently bent/dented the plastic cover on whatever he ran into that day so it won't fit back on and I've left it off. This doesn't seem to affect the function of it so it's a cosmetic irritance. My dog has long fur so I can't see it and it doesn't bother me.-Battery life. Once it starts getting low, it changes the setting so if you have it set at the highest setting like we have to, when the battery just starts getting low, it auto switched to the lowest setting which our dog doesn't respond to, at all. So I have to change the battery long before it actually dies. I've let it go at the lowest setting to see how long it lasts and it can go several more weeks at the low setting. I'd prefer it just stay at the higher setting for even just a few more days instead of switching to the lowest for weeks.-No remote. I didn't buy this one for a remote but I've been looking for the holy grail of shock collars that has a bark function and can have remote option and we haven't found one that actually works. This bark collar works so well that I wish it also had a remote so I could work on the digging problem as well as barking. My dog was rescued at age 4 from a highly neglectful home, he spent years developing very bad habits, and it's taken a long time to undo them. He was originally going to be a foster dog but after 1.5 years, he still has a lot of training needed to be adoptable, he's stubborn as hell, and I decided we were just going to be his forever home instead.I highly recommend this bark collar. I'm going to buy another one to keep in our camper.

Literally a game changer, overnight!
In short:Since I put this on, I have not heard my dog bark once.He must have barked once or twice when I didnt hear, and stopped right away. Background:My dog has free access to balcony day and night. He sees movement/people or dogs he knows and barks a lot. We don't hear this from our bedroom, but the neighboring apartments are affected. After a nasty letter and security coming every day and then them will call the municipality to remove the dog. I had to bite the bullet and use a shock collar. I was apprehensive because a. its just the dogs nature. and b. Isnt it harsh and unfair? An electric shock is mean, isnt it?!Well...Pro's:This has no remote and is only automatic, this means that he was 100% corrected without me ever hearing him bark, because he did it when no one was around and stopped barking within less than a day! This goes 1. Beep 2. Vibrate 3. Shock lowest level 4. shock slightly higher (and so on for 6 levels)It will reset if theres no bark in 30 seconds. This seems fair and worked literally over night.I thought this would be cruel (I just had to do something to stop the authorities coming) but because he doesnt bark now, he isnt being shocked and the battery will last. (I assumed he might not understand and that he would get shocked a lot and that Id need a steady supply of batteries)When we was scared by a new person in my house, he did bark so he wasnt completely avoiding barking which I like, because Im ok with him barking when he is justified.ConsWhen he shakes himself off (that flappy motion that dogs do when they are wet but also do when they are dry multiple times throughout the day) he sets off the sound detection and he gets a beep.Although I dont like the fact that he is getting a beep for not barking, I appreciate the fact that the first warning is a sound, not a buzz or shock, because that gives a buffer and make it less likley he will have a false positive for a shock - which would be cruel. So, bad that it goes off for non-bark. Good that it never escalates to a shock because it resets in 30 seconds :)Great, simple product, you dont have to do or decide anything and it just works. Nice one

So far its working
I was hesitant to use this device but our 1yr old pomeranian won’t stop barking at people going by outside. We adjusted it loosely to her neck and set to vibrate. As soon as she started to bark she hesitated but barked some more, then stopped. She now only barks once and stops. I have yet to use the ‘static’ setting, but I’m sure it is safe. I’m not using it full-time, but so far it has helped to stop the barking. The collar strap was way too long, so I had to cut most of it off. It is a bit difficult to know if you are powering on or off, but after a while it becomes apparent…a power light would be helpful.

Does not work well for non sensitive large dogs
Not really effective for non sensitive large dogs . My king corso didn’t care about it after a a couple sets of waves on the highest setting .
