Color Therapy: An Anti-Stress Coloring Book

I love, love, love this coloring book! The paper/pages are nice and thick to prevent bleedthrough; I like that some pages are colored in and you can add your own lines and line details; I like that some of the backgrounds are pre-colored so you can fill in the remaining areas and make it look almost professional. There are a great variety of pictures here, and a large number. Another way this book worked especially well for me is that I shared it with friends--one of whom suffered a stroke and has poor coordination, and another who is elderly and has limited vision: though neither friend could color within the tiny, detailed lines, both found pages they could enjoy coloring by coloring bunches of smaller segments in one color, as one larger segment--as with flowers, or the face of the lion on the cover versus his mane. The pages with the pre-colored backgrounds allowed the white to-be-colored images to stand out so they could color them easily in one color and still have a fun, attractive experience! I will be ordering more of this particular book for myself and for all my friends and family!

This is a high quality book. When you look at it online, the photos and description does not do it justice. This is a thick well made book with high quality paper. This is good because this is exactly what you want out of a book like this. You don't want paper thin pages that will rip, tear, and be see through; non of those issues apply here. Just keep in mind it's quite a heavy solid book more designed for adults then small children, however kids would enjoy it as well I'm sure.You get a very wide range of patterns, shapes, etc to choose from. Every once in a while a page will be filled out or partially filled out for you to complete. Think of it as a little guide to jump start you. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a product like this. It's easily worth 2 times the price paid.

This is not at all what I expected it to be, but I am in love with it! I have an anxiety issue and this book is SO helpful. The pages are in sections by color in order of the color wheel and some pages are basic fill in the color, some of them you are supposed to add texture or finish the pattern and on every page there are parts already colored to remind you what color section you're on and to stimulate creativity. The hard cover is durable and protects it from curling and anything from colored pencil to fine point markers work great on the thick pages. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who needs a constructive outlet or even just an ongoing creative project!

I was excited when I opened up the box and felt how heavy this coloring book was, I think it's the heaviest one I have and believe me I have many, hate to admit it but close to 100. I was disappointed that so much of the page is already colored and maybe that would not be a problem for me if the author would have chosen nicer colors. I myself don't like them but to each his own and I do not want to discourage anyone from purchasing. I would just becareful who you purchase from and ready their return policy to make sure your not responsible for the shipping charge regardless of what the issue is that you request a return. That would be "Richard Roberts" in my case. It is totally my fault for assuming that he or they would honor the same return policy as Amazon and a majority of the other seller here. Sorry for personal Mimi rant back to the book. It addresses colors then has a few pages with the chosen color already in picture, or not, so that confused me but again I was turned off by the colors already filled in so I did not take the time to read through the book as I usually would. A positive I did briefly notice was how nice and thick the pages were. I did not try any of my mediums, watercolor S or felt or gel pens to check for bleed through though. It definitely is a diffrent type of coloring book that is on the market instead of all these fast massed produced poorly photocopied ones that pop up every other day now so the quality of this book and series of books in my opinion is excellent. I just go back to all the coloring done already inside. It limits you to a certain pallet you must follow to make it appealing and in the future if the do choose to color so much of the pages please use much nicer colors, the current ones you chose are just not very appealing, but again, that's my opinion. I do hope you enjoy if you purchase for the size and quality of materials that built the book are outstanding.

EXCELLENT!! Makes you want to engage with the book and color + doodle if you like. I love how this series of books gives you something to respond to by having bits where the background or foreground has some color already. I love how it's designed as a whole and you can tell these people know what they're doing in the art therapy front. There aren't many actual art therapy coloring books out there other than the color me series, which is also great! Two big thumbs up!! The color therapy is my favorite so far but the entire series is wonderful and worth every penny!!

Beautiful artwork and intricate designs make this a joy to color. There are so many pages and each page is on heavy, nice paper that makes coloring a breeze with any pencil/pen or marker. The only thing I don't like about it is that some of the pages are already colored. The pages where the background is shaded do not bother me, but other pages have some areas already shaded as if you are to finish what they've started. I'd rather choose my own colors. I do enjoy the background colors because they look like watercolor and are very vibrant. Overall, this is a LOVELY coloring book and I am very glad that I purchased it.

It's not worth spending this much money on this colouring books because colouring pattern given in this books is not good at all. Please prefer other books.

Lo que me gusta de estos libros es que tienen el fondo iluminado el papel es de buena calidad y los diseños son variados, lo que no me gusta es que algunas laminas tu tienes que crear el diseño para terminarla así como las laminas son por los dos lados.

I am obsessed with all of these O'Mara Art Therapy books and buy every single one I can find. If you are a person who wishes there were more doodling opportunities in the previous books, than this one is for you! Me personally, I'm more into the colouring than doodling, but it's all fun! This book is a substantial hardcover book and much like it's predecessors has those gorgeous thick pages with aspects already coloured in that don't leak through. One thing I could take or leave was that the book was kind of arranged in sections by colour themes. It didn't really matter because I just coloured them whatever I felt like at the moment, but who knows some people might like a little direction in their colouring decisions. Although it is so far my least favourite of all these books it is still absolutely amazing. I like that you can colour the covers of these books as well. I'll admit I finished rainbowing in all the white parts on my lion!

I love the picture's in this book I got me and my daughter both this book and the best part is the quality is amazing no matter what I use in these I have never had the colors bleed through the pages
