RavelliItalia Linea 30 Non Stick Frying Pan (8inch)

My first rule is: NOT MADE IN CHINA! because I prefer to be aware of the true composition of what I cook my family's food in. It is so much lighter than the old tired one I had for years. It works perfectly as long as you of course heat it up slowly at first, but then, it heats up efficiently fast with just on medium heat setting. As for the cleaning, I first wipe the left scraps with an piece of paper towel (nothing left to clog drains) and then wash gently with the soft side of the sponge, rinse, let dry, & voilà!! I use my old glass cover on it. Almost no microwave use since I have this perfect pan.

I bought this large skillet to replace a similar one that wore out after many years of great service. I wanted a 13-inch, non-stick. While it heats evenly, the non-stick coating doesn't measure up to the one being replaced when it was new. Eggs stick to the surface, even when well oiled and on medium heat. So, if like to make omelettes, this is not the best choice. I still have the smaller version of my old, worn out skillet, which is barely used and like new. Comparatively, there's something different about the Ravelli's non-stick coating. Also, I noticed that the exterior coating is chipped already. This is surprising since I always wash my non-stick pans by hand with mild dish soap. Not that big of a deal, but still takes away from the overall value.

Update: 15 Months later and pan is now starting to stick with cooked items, disappointed, My most favorite pan to use, figure it would last longer than this. Bummer. Update 7 months later: Pan is working perfect, best cooking pan I got use it 5-7x a week. Update 2 months Later: This pan is holding up great, zero scratches and cleans up very easy, cooks everything even and I use it 4-5x every week, best Skillet Pan I have ever owned. It is heavier than skillets this size. Really like this pan, just wish it was a bit light or the handle longer and bigger around for the extra weight. It gets 5 stars from me just because it's made 100% in Italy and not China. Nothing sticks to it and it heats up evenly and really hot how I like it and stays that way while your heating or cooking your meals. Bit pricey but well worth it.

The heat distribution is fantastic! I usually have to set the burner to less hot than when using my other pans. It heats up quickly and with perfect distribution. I am enjoying cooking again. Non-stick surface is perfect and super easy cleaning. I hand wash to preserve the non-stick surface. I hide this pan from my roommates so nobody ruins it 😆 It's my favorite!

I liked this pan because it is the perfect size to whip up scrambled eggs for two or a few fried eggs. I like the contour shape of the handle which helps stabilize the pan on the stove top while empty. Other 8 " pans I have had, seem unbalanced in their design causing the pan to not sit evenly. Clean up is good but it doesn't hurt to put a few drops of detergent and some water to soak just to make it easier to wash and dry when you are ready to do dishes.Happy Cooking.

Great for everyday use...the price is so inexpensive that I don’t loose my mind when some uses metal tongs and scratches the surface. The heat distribution is solid. You will be able to get a great sear or sauté veg. Buy it...it will give you all the particulars you need for proper technique and is easy to replace when THAT ONE PERSON IN YOUR FAMILY jack’s it up again and again!

I hadn't had a decent non-stick pan in several years and I forgot how convenient they are. You really can just wipe it out with a rag and put it away - nothing sticks to it. The handle seems well made. It's easy to clean. Perfect size for just about anything. Can't put it in the oven (handle), so it won't do everything. But I find it's my go to for most things on the stove. It was a little more than entry level non-stick, and totally worth it. Would buy again.

Do not like the fact that the handle is not riviera to the pan like most good quality cookware . It is attached using one screw. Have had this type of handle / pan attachment .Unfortunately , it will eventually become irreparable.
