I will confess to being a cheapskate. So when looking for a new blender The discount offered on this one caught my eye. There were no customer reviews, but I decided to roll the dice and try it.So far, I’m impressed. There are actually six blade points in the mechanism. I make smoothies for breakfast almost every day. This blender OBLITERATED the ice. The carafe is larger (32 oz) than my old one, so I can make two at once. The base is large and fairly bulky, so you need to make counter space for it. With the carafe, it’s too tall to sit on countertop under overhead cabinets.Overall, I’m very pleased with the powerful performance of this blender. It was worth the gamble on an unknown name.Updating: have been using this blender for a month, make protein smoothies 5-6 days a week. It is far better than my expectations. Reduces ice cubes to slush in under 30 seconds. No big lumps of ice. I’m very, dry satisfied with this powerful blender.

STRONG PERFORMER!
This blender blasts through ice and provides smoothies with the consistency of premium ice cream! The motor is a bit loud when higher speeds are being used, but the performance makes it worth it. It would be nice to be able to remove the base for cleaning, but being able to place the entire pitcher assembly in the dishwasher should mitigate any issues :-)Only odd issue we noted: the silver ring of the base bottom discolored on after the very first run through the dishwasher. However; since this is only a minor cosmetic thing, it is easy to overlook.We are looking forward to years of service with this quality product!

Good blender for the price
Overall I like the performance of this blender. My only co.plain would be the size of the container, wish it was larger.

Power to spare ........for about 8 uses . I am updating my rating to a zero.
You do not! Need a more powerful blender, this thing would fly a plain. I love the blender it makes the smoothies smoothies ever. My only complaint is. Because it is so powerful if its grinding large frozen solid objects it vibrates and scoots across counter and i feel i need to hold the container down. Im not comfortable walking away with it running. Other than that its amazing and i would buy again...... UPDATE . The blender has completely stopped working all together. I have my handicapped grandchild once a week. I have to blend his food as he has to be tube fed. The blender just stopped all together. What a complete waste of money, I am really bummed it was blending the food so smoothly i was so happy with it. WHAT A DRAG !

Great machine
Seems to meet all the standards of the very expensive premium blender i returned as too expensive. Very happy so far. Only complaint...virtually no instructions or recipe books included
