Wow, these are terrific!
This is the first time I've tried a rubber practice mute. Previously I've used wooden and heavy metal mutes. And of course the slide on rubber mutes that sit behind the bridge, but those aren't strong enough for practice. The wooden ones were either too week, or they had a tendency to loosen up and fall off after a while from the vibration. The better ones were fairly strong and stayed on reasonably well. But they really dug into the bridge, leaving track marks after repeated use. The heavy metal ones worked well, and didn't dig into the bridge, but they didn't really grip the bridge either, so they would fall off if I flipped the violin down to my lap for instance. I had to be careful with them because they were heavy and hard and could damage the violin if they fell on it. Heck, they could damage the hardwood floors! These Rubber practice mutes are much better. They are almost as strong as the metal ones, they are light weight (just 15g) and they're fairly soft. The rubber has a bit more of a glossy plastic-like surface than say an eraser, but it's just as soft. And it wouldn't hurt a thing if it fell on something. It also seems quite durable, and should last for many years, probably decades. It also grip the bridge like nobody's business, but so far it doesn't leave any marks. I haven't been using mine long enough to be sure about the marks, but I am very optimistic. I like mine so much that I'm ordering another one today for my sister. Seriously, you can't go wrong with these!P.S. - Shipping was very quick. Mine arrived in two days.

I think I'd personally prefer more of a mute. But it was cheap, so it's got that going for it and it shipped EXTREMELY FAST.

Came apart quickly
It definitely works, but the rubber started splitting on one end after a few days so I'm pretty disappointed.

It fell appart after a few minutes practice. Very rigid!
Shipped very fast but the product has some serious issues. The rubber on the side of the mute started to crumble and eventually fell appart after a few minutes of practice. Not as flexible as a black generic rubber mute that I owned. That one worked very well. I do not recommend this product. It breaks easily. I reordered it to check an see if this is only an isolated case. Will post again
