Water Chemistry 101 for your Swimming Pool (Swmming Pool Ownership and Care)

Any novice/beginner swimming pool owner should read this book. It gives you a basic understanding of swimming pool chemistry. It is explained in a concise, to the point, and understandable manner. The chemistry discussed in this book is basic that gives you enough understanding to maintain your pool. This is not technical chemistry, by the way. If you are looking for an in depth, more technical pool chemistry, you might want to find a more advanced book. 😀

Helpful information.Recommend this book to have on hand for water issues. I will be going back to it throughout the summer.

I had hoped that this book would have provided a more technical explanation about pool chemistry. For example, after I add chemicals, what happens to them and why do I need to add more? How does my salt generator create chlorine from salt? Does that chlorine get converted back to salt in some way? Things like that...Instead, this book simply gives rudimentary instructions on pool maintenance. Not a lot of info there, and I really didn't learn anything new. :-(

I returned this the day after I received it. The book is poorly organized and information is difficult to find. An index would be helpful.

Not as much information as we had hoped for. Very basic.

i read the book in like 5 minutes very easy and to the point. Simple quick solutions. i wasn't looking for massive information. Just a quick guide. I read reviews and laughed about not enough information etc... I thought the imformation was good and helpful and easy.

Being a new pool owner, this book was invaluable.

Not quite sure the market aimed at.Very confusing in parts and i would predict not readable for a domestic pool owner.

At only 38 pages, this was very disappointing and only really for the US market with all data in US gallons and terminology. Chemical names are not the same in Europe either. I simply can't find a good book to help me maintain my pool in France. Don't bother with this one!
