Loaded with aphids
While preparing this broccoli for dinner last night, I just happened to spot an aphid. When I looked closer, I saw that the crowns/florets had quite a few of the little buggers clustered together. They are hard to see unless you look closely, so most likely a lot of people are eating aphids with their nice healthy organic broccoli.I tried cutting it into small pieces and just rinsing them off, with no luck. So then I tried a salt water and vinegar soak, which removed about 2/3 of the pests. I then par-boiled it and managed to remove a few more. But when I looked again, there were still many dead aphids lodged firmly in the dense florets. Rather than waste perfectly good broccoli, I took the time to search through every single floret and managed to remove what I hope was 99.9% of the bugs. It's normal to have some insects on your fresh produce, especially organic, but not infested like this was. Maybe nothing can come of it, but I will contact the company on the produce tag and let them know.

Appears to be old and has no label
My broccoli was already rotting and had no label so I’m not sure it’s even organic.

Bad quality
I've tried ordering brocoli through here several times. Unfortunately each time all bad quality.

Small flies
I am SICKENED! I rinse my broccoli like always and placed them in the boiling water after cutting them up.After sometime I noticed little things floating around and once I took a closer look I realized they were small little flies and an old maggot. Unless you’re shopping for yourself, don’t order these via delivery. I’m so shocked that this was even available for sale. Don’t bother.

Mostly stem, very few florets
My order included mostly the stripped stem with florets on the very end. Very different than the photo.

Does not taste good and is a poor value
I’ve purchased this twice. The first time I used it in a casserole and it tasted “off.” I thought it was just me, so when I went to make the same dish again (a year later), I ordered the same broccoli. Never again. My husband agrees that it doesn’t taste right and he can’t even stomach eating it. It almost has more of a bitter taste than the non-organic version. Obviously you’re paying more for organic in the first place, but the actual heads of the broccoli are small—it’s mostly stalk. I decided to see how much I was actually getting for the price: I bought 2.94lbs and 1.4lbs of it was stalk and had to be thrown away. And now I have a rice and broccoli dish where the broccoli has to be picked out because of its poor taste. In this case, organic is NOT better.

Infested with tiny bugs.
Infested with little bugs. I give up buying fresh organic broccoli, it’s been several times we get broccoli like this. I got better luck with frozen one.
