Always Summer on the Inside...
As I have yet to see a review on the 5w chip of this light, thought it would be nice to shed some light on this option. This is my first grow (legal medical cannabis) indoors due to a recent overhead privacy invasion by more than 2 neighbors drones w/cameras. I did a lot of research prior to set up and decided to go with a 4x4x7 Apollo tent and LED lighting. I began with one of these 300W w/5 watt chips and the other Galaxyhydro 300W unit with 3 watt chips to compare. 4 weeks ago, four, 4" Lemon Larry clones were transplanted from 1 gallon pots to 7 gal Smart Pots in Ocean Forest soil and I hung 1 of each light at 24" over 2 plants for the veg phase. So far, at this time I see no difference in growth between the two lights (now all 4 are at 24" and bushy). Just beautiful production of lush green leaves. With the 2 lights and 6 fans, (2 on the 3w and 4 on the 5w) running an 18 on 6 off cycle, the temp in the tent remains about 77 degrees at 55-60% humidity while running a 4" carbon filtered exhaust fan on low with intake being only a 6" vent opening at bottom of tent with a "Shroom" filter for air purity. . I have another one of each of these lights and plan to add both in the next week or so for a total of 300W x 4 and will hang one light over each individual plant and will update sometime after I switch to the flower/bloom phase...So far I really like the simplicity and ease of using these lights!Update: At 4 weeks into veg, I added one more of each light for a total of 4 300w Galaxyhydro, (2 -3w chip & 2-5w chip) Growth at 6 weeks of the 4 plants is now up to 36" with healthy dark green leaves. The plants under the 3w chip lights seem to be slightly taller by a couple of inches yet not as full as the 5w chip and were switched to flower (12/12) Will update again after bloom...

It's only good for the veg cycle!!!
This light should be marketed as a veg unit. It doesn't have the correct spectrum to complete a flowering cycle. I purchased 2 at 150$ each a couple of years back and was refunded 30$ after complaining about the spectrum. If you're serious about growing , do yourself a favor and stay away from CHEAP lights. If you're looking for a cheap veg light this one will most definitely do the job.

When I got it and tested it I tested it next to a"900w" Chinese model owned by a buddy and this light put out a much stronger and more full spectrum foot print. I'm impressed for only being a hundred bucks

Galaxyhydro 300w
What an amazing strong vibrant blinding light! It is very well vented and doesn't get too hot in a 4'x2'x5' tall grow tent. It's on the heavy side so make sure you have the means to support it securely...

The light is the best of four styles I have this size I use for flowering. It doesn’t have enough blue for veg. It did great for one year running 12 hours a day. One of the circles of light went out the other day. Even though it only lasted a few of its 50,000 hours I would buy the same light again because it works that good.
