NOT a solution for my scanner!
I have an Epson Perfection V33 scanner that isn't too far from my PC, but the way I route my cables, I needed more length than the 6' cable provided. I order a lot of cables from Monoprice for my monitors and peripherals, but they don't sell a longer USB cable that is A-Male to B-Male with ferrite cores. They do sell long lengths without ferrite cores. The key is the cores. They reduce signal noise, and without them, I can't complete a full scan. I even tried purchasing ferrite cores that can be snapped onto any cable, but the fit was probably not tight enough to be effective (they usually make these for HDMI cables, not lower gauge USB).$20 is kind of ridiculous for a cable like this, (and I only needed about 10' of cable) but since there are no better alternatives to be found, they have cornered the market (on Amazon, at least). Congrats, you found another sucker. I put the blame fully on myself for being so picky about my cable management.I can't take away any stars because the cable is quality and works as it should. Highly recommended! I'd love to see this seller offer shorter lengths (10 or 15 feet) at a lower price. I'll just wind up the extra 10' I don't need and tuck it out of sight. My computer setup looks clean again!-EDIT-I was a bit hasty in reviewing this cable. After trying some scans a few days later, I had the same problem as before. I moved the cable into a different position, which tells me the signal is just too sensitive to be reliable. It's not the cable's fault. My solution: a Monoprice 16-Feet 5M USB 2.0 A Male to A Female Active Extension/Repeater Cable (108751)  in combination with the original scanner cable. It wasn't so much a problem with signal interference as with signal degradation over longer lengths. Problem solved!

When your printer and computer just don't want to be eye to eye
Sometimes the cable modem, phone jack, printer, and computer just can't be next to each other. And when your printer is an all-in-one with a fax, your options are limited. So rather than run a phone cord around the room (which is easy for people to trip over and then knock the phone off where it sits, etc., etc.), run the printer cable around the room. This cable was just perfect. I couldn't find the right length in any office supply store (you know the big two I'm referring to), and even the computer stores didn't have this length in stock. So I got this and it works great. I can run the printer USB cable around the side of the room (out of the way) and still keep my printer connected to the phone and computer. Not the most elegant solution, sure, but until I upgrade to a wireless printer, this will work just fine.

Works great on my laser printer and inkjet printer
I bought two. One for home use with my inkjet printer and another one for my multi-task laser printer which I use for my small business. I was trying to free up room so I decided to move my laser printer 20 feet away from my office. Scanning, Printing, Copying and Faxing work great, perfect, wonderful. I was concerned by other people's review saying that 20 ft usb cables tend to be kind of slow. I found it to be false. It works as well as a 3 ft, 6 ft or 10 ft usb cable. All cable are the same. I wish I would have bought the 25 feet usb cable but 20 ft worked well with me. Unless I buy more furniture for my office then I will have to move my printer further away and get the 25 feet. By the way, the shipping was fast! I got it in two days! I live in PA if it helps to anybody.

Fine cable but no gold.
While this is likely a fine cable, it is advertised as gold-plated but there is no gold on either connector. It is common for gold-looking connector shells of cheap Chinese manufacture to be coated with a gold colored lacquer and not gold plate. This is also true for lots of costume jewelry. I took a break from work and measured this cable with an X-ray fluorescence spectrophotometer and no gold was found. The plating is nickel on copper on an iron substrate.

Very nice long USB cable
I am using it for a scanner that is about 15 feet from my computer. Have not had any issues related to the cable. I bought this one because of the Ferrite cores on each end of the cable.

Couldn't find this length anywhere else!
I looked everywhere to find an extra long USB for my office printer. The longest in the stores was 16 feet. I realized the longer the cord, the less reliability, but I did not have an option and I did not wish to attach two shorter cords together. So far I have not seen any reduction in performance with this long cable. It has worked wonderfully. The lack of the fifth star is simply because I could've really used one in black so it blended in better with the walls and carpet that it had to go across.

Works just Fine For Me
This cable is working just fine for me so far. Earlier I had a print server hooked to my desktop in order to print through my laptop, but could no longer view the printer toolbox to see the ink levels, so after buying a new wireless printer for the laptop, I purchased this cable to go directly from my old printer to the desktop that because of location required a long cable. Now I can view my ink levels with a click of the mouse, and use my trusty old HP 1215 printer until it dies, for many more projects. I could not find a cable this long locally and am very pleased with this one.
