RESOLVED: Suddenly charging at 10A not 40A
The unit suddenly dropped to charging at 10A instead of the 32A to 40A; the amperage cycle button seems to not work. Any idea why this has happened? UPDATED / RESOLVED: The amperage cycle button will not work when the unit is plugged into the EV. On a whim checked the button while cooling the cord and re-set to 40A. Back to fast charging. Didn't see that restriction covered in the manual.

So far so good
I really wanted a charger from a nationally recognized charging brand. However, the standard 25-foot cord wasn't going to work (I don't have a garage so my cord has to stretch from the house to the driveway). So I bought the charger with the 40-foot cord. It shipped quickly, and the box was slightly damaged but everything was otherwise fine. This is a very expensive charger and the directions looked like they were printed off a low quality office printer. This didn't give me much confidence in the product ... But it seems to work well! I wish the screen was a bit larger. The cord is substantial and the whole thing is quite heavy. I'm 1-day into this so I will update the review over time.Edit (1-year later): This is holding up well! The face has faded a bit from the sun, but otherwise no issues.Edit (2-years later): The charger is no longer charging at 32 amps. Instead it says it is pulling around 20.

Not worth the money
Bought the 40amp with 40’ charge cable as it was the only charger with a long chord. 40’ Chord is really good quality and should last for a long time. The charger worked well for ~6 months then started failing. I sent it back to the company and they said they tested it and it was working fine. The tech support person claim that Tesla Mode 3/Y and Mustang Mach E do not charge correctly so you have to manually turn the voltage down to 32amps in the car. This can’t be done in the Mach E so the charger faults due to too much heat on one of the pins. This is likely due to increased resistance in the J1772 but the company claims it is from fault charging software in my Mach E.Since I didn’t have a model 3/Y to test I couldn’t verify if was the Mach E or not. Now I am sure it is the charger.Not worth the money just buy a name brand and save yourself the headache.

Good Charger with Long Cable
I bought this charger for the longer cable. Have been using it for 4 days with my 2017 Chevy Bolt. I have it on a 50 amp circuit and its showing 40 amps available as it should. The Bolt charges at 32 amps as it should. So far so goodI like the kwh reading and charge duration display. I only wish the readings would stay after the car is unplugged and until its is plugged in again or power is cycled. Also mounting directions would be helpful but its easy to figure out. Just make sure to plug the handle into the holster to see the proper orientation for mounting. I almost mounted it upside down.

If you commute long distances for work daily a 40amp L2 charger is a must.
Great product & great value. I have a 2020 Chevy Bolt and commute about 90 miles per work day and the OEM charger that came with the vehicle was not getting the job done. This PRIMECOM charger allows me to have a fully charged car every morning now and only takes 4-5 hours to make up what I use on average each work day. The unit is well made including a heavy gauge cord like you see on a welder. I can program to charge during off peak hours from 10pm to 4am and I am saving and additional 10% off my utility bill so eventually it pays for itself.

Great product buy it!
I love this product my car is fully charged in 3 to 4 hour is amazing I don’t have time to stop at the stations I just get home plug it in and next day is ready and with the regular charger it was 2 and a half days I get only 246 miles this new fast charger I can get up to 280 miles per charge

Long Cable - Awesome Charger
Reaches my car in the driveway even when another is parked in front. Perfect for everyday commuting. The cable is long and supple, even in cold weather.

Works great!
After buying a Tesla another owner suggested not getting the Tesla charger but a universal one in case this electric car thing catches on. I almost purchased a cheaper charger but after reading the reviews, I'm glad to have spent the extra few $$ to have a quality charger. Have been using for ~2 months without issue. The electrician installed on a larger circuit than it could handle so the only issue I had was to tell the car to reduce the max pull from 40A to 35A. When the car was pulling at max, it was pulling over 48A and faulting out. No issue with speed of charge at this setting.
