Rear View Backup Camera 8 IR Universal Car Back Up Alarm Cameras HD Color CCD Waterproof 170° Viewing Angle with Guideline

My main concern was the watertight quality of the camera, not the ease of setup or anything like that.The manufacturer's claim of an ip68 rating had me sold. And so far, it has been through a couple of heavy hours long rains and its performance has been pristine; no condensation or leaks. I cant speak to its winter weather performance since it never snows where I live.The previous car back-up camera I purchased was absolute garbage. I normally would not bother write reviews, but now I appreciate their importance as they guide the unwitting consumer like myself to make informed purchases.I am pleased so far ... it's still raining.I will update if needed but my gut feeling tells me I'll remain satisfied for a long time.Not a technical write up but I hope this helps someone.Have some great pictures but could not upload.Update: Feb 2018 - My ip68 waterproof camera still works great. Like new. I'm very pleased.

The camera works great and isn't too large. My concern was whether or not this is truly waterproof since when I looked around at other back-up camera listings, that seemed to be the biggest complaint with the low cost cameras. Luckily it has not failed me yet, I have even taken my car through the automated car wash multiple times since installing it and no water has ever been stuck between the camera and "glass."Installation wasn't too difficult but you might want to use different screws than the ones provided. Also since this camera has the integrated parking guide lines, you should first tilt the camera looking more towards the bumper. I first positioned it looking directly horizontal and the guide lines were pointed up at the sky.The monitor I used is the  Esky® Foldable 4.3 Inch Color LCD TFT Rearview Monitor Screen for Car Backup Camera  and they both work great together. I was able to connect the positive from the camera to the monitor, that way when I put my car in reverse, both the camera and the monitor turn on at the same time.I highly recommend it! It's something I use everyday and has definitely held up!

I have to say I'm pretty impressed with this for the price. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it claims to have a 170 degree field of view. I tested it by placing objects behind my vehicle and came to the conclusion it's probably more like 90 degrees. But it works. And the night vision works. Installation instructions are minimal and things can vary from vehicle to vehicle and radio unit. If you are comfortable installing a new radio in your car you should be able to handle a self install with some help from google and intuition.

paired this with Joying Android 5.1 head unit for VW Passat Wagon 2007, B6.The included instructions are slightly misleading.My headunit has a CCTV 12v line, so the yellow RCA had a red wire sticking out, that connects to the CCD 12v line. The camera end has another red electric line that connects to the camera's red line. The camera's ground line does not need to be connected, as per Joying's instructions.The camera is clear during day and night. See the picture of the dark alley vs the camera image on the head unit.

No much installation guide. Maybe a good camera cant connect to leave better comments. I think additional parts and wiring required. 2015 prius C doesnt have any place u can plug the yellow video input. Need more help by seller or professional help that might cost over 100

Nice image, at first. Now 5 months in and the image is fuzzy. Still does the job, but i was hoping for a clear image,granted i didnt expect HD quality. But its more fuzzy then a N64 standard def. image. :-(

Nice car cam, but it has horrible problems.Pros: The camera is small, easy to install, and apparently, good product.Cons: *LEDs(Light Emission Diode) are covered for the sealant substance from inside(not clean at all), and when hand-built LEDs left in asymmetric position (some of them more inside and others not ). * The main problem is that I clearly saw dust inside the cam (I was not cleaned well)

The camera is good but the quality of the case is poor
