ChillWarmer Thermal Insulated 16 ounce Stainless Steel Food Jar - FunJar (Solid blue)

I bought a ChillWarmer for my daughter. It was delivered on time and the description was as described. At first impression it looked excellent for my daughter's need. She is a very smart girl that as any kid needs to eat well. She loves food cooked at home specially the one one that I cook because it is delicious and healthy. School food is healthy but besides that she hates it as she said it is saved always cold and do not tastes so good for her palate. As a mother I needed to get a food jar that could maintain her food hot or cold but that tastes like fresh by the time she eats it and that has a favorable size for her. ChillWarmer is the jar that has compile all that needs and put it into one. Amazing! food last up to six hours hot and fresh. I haven't put any cold food yet as we have a cold weather right now. But like any good thing there is something that I don't like that much which is the shape that makes the food a little uncomfortable to take out from the jar. But still I think this is not a reason for not giving a five starts. I truly recommend it for any person and for any occasion you need to take food out or save it for later and eat it like you just finished make it. Good look with your order!!

**UPDATE** I am updating my review, I've gone from a 1 star to 5. I contacted the company requesting a lid replacement, and the sent me an entirely new thermos! The leaky lid has since been redesigned and now is completely leak proof. The top pieces stay together, no more rubber gasket coming out and the container now holds my daughter's lunch nice and hot, perfection. I am really impressed by the company's prompt response, and although I only asked for a replacement lid, I'm super impressed that they shipped me right out an entirely new container, no shipping charges, and it came within days of my email inquiry. Bravo, well done! Thank you!I wasted my money on this! It leaks. First off, this comes with too many removable parts. The lid has a smaller inner stopper that gets dirty, and it LEAKS! The rubber gasket comes out too easily and I always had to try and keep track of it. I sent my daughter to school with this filled with soup and she never even made it to the car, the entire contents were leaking every where! The next time we tried it, I tried screwing it closed really tight, thinking that was the problem, but then even the lunch lady at school couldn't open it. I'm mad, this is a simple item, why make it so complicated? I wish I'd have returned it but I waited to long.

My 9 year old daughter likes her ChillWarmer thermos very much. It has a cute, ageless design and is a good size. I always place it in the fridge or freezer the night before, if I plan on having her take something cold for lunch the next day. It works well when this is done. If she is taking something hot, I fill it with boiling water for about 15 minutes first. Then empty it and place her hot lunch into the thermos. At lunch time, she says that everything is still warm. Not hot. But, still quite warm to enjoy. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because the rubber gasket around the inside of the lid is always coming off. I understand that it needs to be removed for cleaning purposes. However, it regularly falls off, when the lid is removed. This could easily get lost or thrown away by younger children. Otherwise, we like the product and would highly recommend it.

Absolutely adorable, cute design. Keeps food hot. But the vent on topIs hard to turn for little hands and it is hard to open at school. My child loses eating time waiting for an adult to come wrench her thermos open. Otherwise it is high quality, well made thermos.

Great product in a vacuum (pun intended), but the support is non-existent. I really like these containers - I purchased two for my kids' lunches and they are a great size for lunchboxes and keep the food warm. Sometimes loading the food is a bit difficult, but that is inherently a factor of the more convenient sizing (i.e., a little taller and narrower than conventional food mugs), so I cannot complain at all. However, my issue is with the sealing aspects. The two-part lid includes a large gasket to seal around the rim of the container, and a smaller plug that allows for steam release between the cover and upper compartment. These two parts are opaque white and easily detachable from the lid, so after many washes, I have misplaced the parts. I have tried contacting the company to see if I could purchase replacements, but no response after many months. So without those small parts, the containers leak and are basically useless. So long story short, great products by themselves, but not for the long haul without any ability to get post-purchase support.

My children really like their FunJars. I purchased them after receiving complaints that their other containers didn't keep food warm until lunch. The FunJars have been well accepted in my house. The kids no longer complain about cold food and I am happy the food that leaves my house warm can stay warm after several hours. The room in the jars is way more than enough for the amount of food my children eat. There's plenty of room for adult meals/food also.I did lose a seal from the jar's top without my knowledge. Luckily, I was able to notice this while washing the containers. I contacted customer service and received a reply within 24 hours. Within a week of my contacting them, a new replacement seal had been shipped out to me. I haven't had any other problems but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to contact their excellent customer service.

After a negative review, the seller contacted me and sent me a new lid. The original leaked. Turned out the lid for my original product was missing a silicone piece used to seal the lid tight. I have used many food containers over the years for my kids. I find this one to keep soups etc. very warm for many hours. I wish they made one half the size, as I find this size to be a bit too large for elementary aged kids, leaving a lot of head room in the container will allow the food to cool faster.Some of the reviewers of this product complain the food does not stay hot. With this type of receptacle it's helpful to put very hot water into the container for 5-8minutes to heat up the metal before putting in the hot food.
