Good basic cpu
We got this mostly for steaming. Tv is the monitor. No trouble with streaming delays, acquires WiFi well. Storage for all pics and music. Bluetooth the sound bar to it and it does well. The unit is light weight. The dvd tray is pretty thin. I hope it doesn’t break.Since it has an ssd it stays cool and just about noiseless. We tried a couple refirbs and had a catastrophic failure with one, but this is holding up well. I am more comforted to have a new unit over a refurbished.

Very nice PC!
I was in need of a pc since mine bit the dust. This machine is very quiet, even quieter than my MacBook Air.Setting up the machine wasn't that breezy however, I had to do certain tweaks to make everything run right.IF YOU HAVE AN HP PRINTERIf you have a new wireless Hewlett Packard printer, You can easily install it using the HP smart app on the desktop, however when printing it would print from the Microsoft IPP class driver, and this driver needs to be change or it would cause problems for you in the future. You will run into a folly when trying to print business cards and envelops and items that isn't a regular sheet of paper. You need to go into device manager select under printers "Microsoft IPP Class Driver" and change the driver and get a HP driver installed instead. If you are using Microsoft Edge, your videos will seem to lag and freeze, then you go under settings in edge and DISABLE "Use hardware acceleration when available".When you see any weird program folders inside of your documents folder or picture folder, right click, properties and hide these folders.

Good overall desktop for simple tasks
So far the unit has performed as well as expected. It is small and light. I added a 2nd SSD to increase the storage but for simple tasks this seems to fit the bill. I did not use tech support nor am I a gamer so I couldn't rate these attributes.

Great little desktop
Bought this for the wife to replace her aging (2-year old) Lenovo which gave up the ghost. I have always had a lot of luck with HP, and this is no different. The specs are fine for browsing and email, which is about the extent of what she does with the computer. It's quick, has plenty of storage for everyday use and enough RAM to run several programs at once without slowing down. The advantage is she came from a massively slow spinning disk to a blazing fast M.2 drive, so she thinks I'm a hero! This was definitely a great buy.

Fast, affordable...and Windows 11
Have had this new HP Slim Desktop for two weeks (it replaced a 7 year old Windows 10 model) and couldn't be more pleased. I'm not a gamer and don't watch movies on it but have been streaming baseball games in addition to usual daily use - no glitches with the streams and the overall speed moving between multiple open screens is nice and fast. HP has always been my go-to brand for quality and reliability without breaking the bank. Windows 11 is a noticable upgrade from 10 and is surprisingly easy to use. All in all, a very good purchase.

Perfect for my modest needs
This has worked out just fine for all my home computing needs: communication, media access, word processing, bill paying and budgeting. Processing speed is more than adequate for multiple apps and web pages. Functions quickly and smoothly.

ksc's review
you get what you pay for and I'm fine with that as i just wanted a computer to check my mail, play games and write my stories. it boots up okay and it was no problem to hook my printer and speakers up to it. was able to transfer my old documents and pictures, thanks to the cloud. when my sister computer dies i'll probaly buy her one of these to replace it.
