Walker Tray

Red tray used for about 2 months with Invacare 6240 walker (new and older model). My 94 year-old mother loved it immediately and is now able to carry around plates, books, glasses, and whatever without assistance, making her just that precious little bit more independent. The tray itself is sturdy and easy to wipe clean as others have noted. Best of all, there's lots of space to use as she sees fit.The drawbacks are very minor. It took a little fiddling to get the spacers at exactly the right spot (especially because I forgot they were adjustable!) When I remove the tray I have to remember to push it down ALL the way when I put it back (otherwise a heavy load will push it down unexpectedly.) The cut-out circle for glasses is blocked by the hinge on Mom's walker (she uses the mug holder instead and it works perfectly.)It's just amazing how much difference this tray has made to my mother. Being able to carry her drink AND her book AND her laundry all in one trip is a big deal and makes her feel more in charge of her life. She doesn't have to worry about things rolling or falling off the tray, and no problems with it tipping. The red color provides a high contrast to help her see items on the tray easily. Worth every penny and then some!

My Mom love this for her walker. She can carry things to and from room to room. She really likes to be able choose the color instead of just gray. The only thing I have found, not only with this one, is the circular hole is right over the folding mechanism of the walker. This prevents a plastic glass from fitting all the way down in the tray and caused spillage.

We got this new walker tray for my 90 year old MIL and she loves it. She loves the bright, cheerful color and likes the coffee cup holder that contains spills. It washes up easily. I would give it 5 stars if the hole on the left was large enough to hold her water bottle or a cup. Not sure what it is good for. Whoever designed it did not test it with 'real life' water bottles. :0/But, all in all - for the price - this is a very nice tray and helps her carry things from room to room. One more advantage of this tray over her last one is the indention on the front. She is able to pull the tray closer to her chair and eat from it with less spilling. Now, THAT was a good idea :0) This will fit most regular walkers. The stoppers on the sides help keep it from slipping and changing position somewhat but you cannot lean on it!! You may want to caution older ones to only use the walker handles for stability - NOT the tray :0)

I bought this tray to fit over my mom's standard Drive brand walker, and it slipped right over the top 'handles' just perfectly with need for any adjustments. It took literally seconds to install. The manufacturer does include some spacers in box, but we didn't even need them. This tray is just AWESOME. My mom loves it, and uses it to carry everything from food/drinks to books to laundry. It has really increased mobility and independence, and just made things so much more convenient for her. The fun colors are great also. We purchased the tray in red. It appears to be very durable so far, and I would definitely recommend this tray. Great price.

It did not fit properly on my walker and was always at in angle. We tried everything. Also according to Physical Therapy, you should be walking in the walker and this kept me behind the walker. I think they should include something that allows you to hang the tray on the side of the walker when not in use so you can keep it with the walker to use only when necessary and still walk properly the rest of the time.

This tray is pretty flimsy but it does the job. It does not fit tight enough over the walker handles so it can easily tip. I'm afraid to press it down too hard because it feels like it will break. There is a dip in front of the tray that I don't understand. Why not keep it flat? Very hard to use the walker when the tray is on it because you can no longer fit inside the walker, and the items on the tray shift towards the front (and that dip). I'll need to buy a non-slip mat to fix this. 1 extra star for the great red color.

I thought about this for while because it had reviews that it didn't fit right. When it came I tried it out and it looked like it wasn't going to fit so as I looked at the two rubber pieces at one end of the tray and I slide them around till it fit perfect with a little push. They just get in the way so move em around so you get the maximum opening and apply enough force and it should fit perfect and stay in place. To remove it will take about the same force as when you put it on.

Purchased this for my 98-year old mother. It fits perfectly and does not tip. Easy to place on walker and to remove. Spacers are essential. I hope it is possible to purchase them separately in the future. My mom now can eat at buffets and choose food on her own. She wanted the red tray because it is livelier than drab gray! Restaurant patrons often compliment her on the red color.
