Confused if this is a UV light box or not
The first thing to note is that I know very little about sanitizing boxes, as this is my first one. I turned to the FDA website as to UV-C light and Coronavirus and it seems encouraging. The thing with sanitizing boxes is that unless I have lab equipment or an ability to see microscopic organisms - I can't know for certain if this box works or if it got all the germs. However, this box is easy enough to use. Just plug in the USB-C cable, put your item inside, zip up the box and press the power button on top. The button turns blue when it's on. It sanitizes for 5 minutes. And because the lights are only one one side, the top, you have to flip your item over to sanitize the other side. So you're looking at a total of 10 minutes for the items.I love how small and portable this little box is. It's pretty structured and sturdy, almost like a hard case, but in pretty color fabric. Why I didn't give this product more stars: While the user manual that came with the box states that it is a UV Light Sanitizer Box, nothing in the description on this website states that it uses UV light. Wouldn't that be all over the description? Only that it's LED, which isn't interchangeable with UV-C light. I already don't know much about this technology, but this makes me even more confused and so I cannot put 100% faith in its effectiveness. From the FDA:"Ultraviolet Radiation and SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus"Q: Can UVC lamps inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus?"A: UVC radiation is a known disinfectant for air, water, and nonporous surfaces. UVC radiation has effectively been used for decades to reduce the spread of bacteria, such as tuberculosis. For this reason, UVC lamps are often called "germicidal" lamps."UVC radiation has been shown to destroy the outer protein coating of the SARS-Coronavirus, which is a different virus from the current SARS-CoV-2 virus. The destruction ultimately leads to inactivation of the virus. (see Far-UVC light (222 nm) efficiently and safely inactivates airborne human coronaviruses). UVC radiation may also be effective in inactivating the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is the virus that causes the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). "

One sided UV-C light would not recommend for germicidal application.
I've had a few UVC cleaning boxes in the past and they've always done their job. Upon using this LENCOR LED light box i enjoyed the concept of it, it works alright, but it could do with some adjustments. Based under the assumption that this LED UVC light to be for portable use it does the job well for its compact nature. Furthermore, because it has an easy to reach plug area for the usb plug. But, because of the pandemic there has been a huge influx of cleaning products and it is hard to tell as a consumer which one is effective and you should buy. I will say that this is more for general cleaning but not specifically targeted for germicidal application. For one, the light is only at the top of the box, you would need to flip your device over and start the timer again to sanitize the other side. The best sanitization is offered when the light can be shined all around from top and bottom.Second, this is a light-emitting diode that has a wavelength within UVC. There are two advantages of this, 1. it means that it does technically offer UVC sanitization and 2 because it's LED it wont contain mercury. However, because of the size of the cleaning box and how LEDS usually are concentrated in their light and don't do a great job of covering a large surface area, this portable box will not do a good job cleaning your devices.I am by no means an expert in this field but there are government publications on such LED lights that produce wavelengths within the UVC spectrum such as the FDA. This is a good gadget but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. The best bet if you want to have germicidal cleaning is just to spray alcohol and use a sterile wipe.

Seems like a knockoff version of UV sanitizers
I have a "phonesoap" phone box that sanitizes my phone and other smaller items. The downfall of this is that you cannot sanitize anything big and the lid has to be able to close completely to even turn on so there are many things I wish I could clean that I simply cant in that machine. This box was really attractive for that reason, and that fact that it looked more travel style influenced my decision as well. I like the idea of being able to have one in my car to automatically place my mask phone and other items in there as soon as I get in the car and not have to worry about transporting them dirty to the house and washing, etc. Unfortunately I really do not trust the design of this box. When compared with a proven UV sanitizer, it looks nothing like it because the lights are tiny and in my opinion not nearly powerful enough to kill even the tiniest of bacteria and viruses that we are all so worried about. I have to have peace of mind with a product like this, especially spending 50 dollars for it. Unless it were proven to work, I wouldnt recommend this to others unless you want to take a chance. I am no microbiologist or researcher and I dont have the proper equipment to test this but it just doesnt seem like it would be reliable.
