Durability / density could be higher
I used these in the construction and assembly of a custom oak coffee table I built myself. They are both in the coffee table for reinforcement of the glue joints and were used to temporarily fit angled pieces on ends of work pieces for the glue up and clamping portion of the project. During clamping, several of these dowels bent and/or sheared. Some got stuck in the holes and when extraction was attempted, they would splinter. For less than $10, I can't complain too much, but if you need dowels that stand up to clamping pressure, I would get ones that aren't made of compacted wood refuse.
