True Confessions

My younger sister used to read this mag (and other true story type tabloid mags) and I used to tease her about it (the English major snob younger me did). Fast forward a decade or so and I was trying to come up with some creative ideas on what to get same sister for Christmas. Googled this and so happy to find on Amazon! My sister didn't even know this magazine was still being published and she was really excited about her gift. It's beach reading, bathtub reading, escapist reading, and nostalgia for her (and for me).

This is not good writing. Not good at all. The amateurish stories in this magazine are poorly written and poorly structured. It is worse than the worst romance novel. Don't get me wrong. I love a good romance novel, but a bad one can really bring you down. These stories are like that but worse. Inexcusable. That's just my opinion. Sorry I subscribed. Certainly won't renew.

Bought this for a gift..got it for a year then renewed subscription 2nd year. .only got 2 issues then stopped? Had to call amazon and the company. .never did get anther magazine?

I got this for my mom as a birthday gift. She loves the True Confessions has nothing against the stories. The low rating is because it seems like every month I either have to email because the magazine never came or she got the same copy as the previous months. I will highly unlikely renew her subscription to the magazine for her birthdays​ next year. I feel like a jerk because this was her birthday gift and instead it is just a hassle every month.

Purchased for my mom and came within 3 weeks. Terrific. Mom loved it when she was young and she still enjoys reading the stories.

I've been reading the "trues" forever. Always loved them. Very real and hopeful. I hope to be writing them soon.

Never ordered this

Both as a gift but I think it is over priced for all that is in it.
