Installing various auxiliary switches in a Ford Ranger and wanted something simple and effective. These switches meet the needs. Prewired with pigtails made setting up the switches very easy. They require a .8"/20mm hole and about 1.25" depth behind the mounting plain. They are overall .9" in diameter and I installed them 1.25" on center. Some have not liked how they illuminate but they work well. I installed the switches so that when they are off, the light is depressed. Turning the switch to the "on" position, the lighted area pops out and illuminates. This makes it very easy to see exactly where to press when it's dark in the cab. Pictures are attached. The one thing to also advise is that the prewiring is small and that's ok. Wired correctly, these switches should send a signal to operate a relay to control a circuit, not wired through the switch. Another note on wiring is that the four I installed are tapped in to the parking light circuit on the truck. With this, the switches are only active when the truck lights are on. This will help avoid accidentally leaving any of the auxiliary lighting on.

Perfect for what I needed and great deal

The reason for losing a star is the instructions or lack of in the box. Something to identify the wires would have been nice instead of having to go online and look for instructions. It was easy to install other than that. It works fine for cutting our invisibrake system on and off when needed.

This switch worked perfectly for the application I needed in my 1978 VW Bus. The switch has 3 wires (2 red, 2 black). After ground the switch with the black wire, and running 12v through either of the red wires, when the switch is turned on, the small green LED illuminates.There is no mounting hardware. A prover size hole must be drilled and the switch has clips built in that compress and then pop back out when installed.

You get what you pay for and these were okay to use. They will work in a pinch. I use the ones I bought to test switches. They are good for spares and small cheap electronics. Overall, they are decent.
