Good charger, low frills but works well.
Bought this charger for use on my 14-50 outlet I installed. Glad it can be adjusted, but seems to get warmer than I was comfortable with at 32 Amps. Would use it on 32A if it was outside. I have a Kia EV6 and it says on the packaging to turn it to minimum charge speed. This does cut power a bit, but was ultimately unnecessary. It did say it was charging at 34A when I left it on the 32A setting if left on max. They did note this could damage the charger. I left the car on max and just turned it to 24A and it says it is charging at 23A. This is plenty fast for me. Even a long trip will charge overnight at 24A. Low frills, but the car lets me know any charging stuff, so I didn't care about a wifi charger. I bought a second charger from them with the L6-30 plug. Wish I would have just bought this one to begin with since they make adapters for any outlet to connect to the L6-30. Happy so far!

Charging my PHEV without any changes to my house.
I have to say that I am very happy with this level 2 charger. I can just plug this thing directly into my dryer plug, set the amperage, and plug right into my car. It’s just that simple. If I’m using house power, I can set the amperage up to 24 amps. The cool thing is that my solar power system can also be tied into that dryer circuit. The inverters can handle charging at 10 amps without stressing then too much and still handle modest loads from other circuits. On sunny days when I’m generating more power than I’m using, I can just dump excess power into the car batteries using that dryer circuit and I’m getting free (well pre paid) energy to drive the vehicle. The customization, simplicity, and robust construction of this charger are all top notch. The plugs to both the vehicle charge port and the 10-30 plug are very sturdy. This is important to me because I’m not going to leave this charger plugged in and hanging in one place. It’s going to get moved and plugged many times so it’ll have to hold up under those conditions. Also the wires themselves are very well insulated (it appears) and seem to be sturdy as well. Charging at 24 amps causes no discernible heat anywhere. The charging module itself hangs out at 40 C when charging at 24 amps. The housing is not even warm to the touch. So far I’m super happy with this product.

Not reliable
I purchased the charger 4/24 and it died 9/24. Only 5 months after the warranty expired. The charger was our secondary and in that time was used maybe 20 times. Primecomtech offered to repair for $190. However, we decided to replace with another brand. Failing after 20 or so uses is ridiculous.

Long cord is Great. Well designed. Has CE but not UL certification.
Really nice product, seems well built. I have the 30 foot cord option so I can plug a car in when it is out of the garage. You must select the amperage drawn from the electrical outlet before you first plug it into the vehicle. (e.g. Select 24 amps [80%] for a 30 amp circuit.) The good news is that it's really easy, and you only have to do this once, unless you switch to a different outlet with a different amperage. Changing the amperage is just a push of a button, and not flipping tiny dip switches like some other units. Also, charging a different car will have no impact on this setting. The unit maintains the last selected charge limit even when unplugged and then pugged back in. Again, seems well built.Small LCD screen provides limited but useful charging information for those inclined to look at it.Standard SAE J1772 connector has a solid locking mechanism. However, it does get hot in the sun because it is black. Would be nice if the connector was white. As noted in the review title, this unit does not have UL listing, but it does have the CE mark, so it's approved for use in Europe. I'm using in the US and am fine with CE mark only - the competing certifications are really not significantly different from a safety perspective.

Great Product At A Great Price
There must be a thousand Level 2 chargers for sale on Amazon (and I must have looked at most of them). The PRIMECOM.TECH Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger appears to be a great charger at a great price. It was a difficult job finding a charger that had the right options without a plethora of negative reviews at an affordable price. This is a relatively new purchase for me, but it certainly appears to have been a good choice. What do I like about it? First of all, it's lots faster than the level 1 charger that came with my car. I really like the option of a 30ft long cable (making the installation of a suitable outlet much easier), and the control box gives lots of information. There's also the option of different amp capabilities. The company also includes a storage bracket (if you're installing it in a garage), an attached cover for the charger (to protect the end that plugs into your car, and installation screws if you choose to install it permanently. What would I change? I'd add an LED light - it's really hard to plug it in at night. Would I buy this again? I'm hoping that this will last a long time.

Crummy customer service
This charger works most of the time. When it works, it's great.Unfortunately, there are times when (for reasons unknown) it simply doesn't charge, though the car acknowledges the connection. We have two vehicles, and the product's performance (or non-performance) is consistent with both, so I know the issue is not with the car. I could find no trouble-shooting assistance online, and my emails to the company have gone unanswered. So, we are very disappointed.

Works as expected, long cord makes it easy to use
Got the 50 foot cord, unit works exactly as expected. The included cord hook makes it easy to coil up the cord when it's not in use.
