Fab ready
The product is as advertised. Apply a little heat and it becomes malleable. I used it once and didn’t take my time but it worked great.

Great product. We used it to thermoform replacements on our fish tank lids!
We used these to cover cutout spots where our aquarium hang on filters used to go. We changed from hang on filters to under-gravel aquarium filtration and there were large rectangular holes in the 4 fish tank covers that let light out (light pollution). The large openings were unsightly, a possible place for adventurous fish to jump out of the tank and the opening might IMHO increase tank evaporation. We looked online and found people suggesting using a toaster oven set to 250 degrees F to warm the plastic sheet (already cut to size) on a foil lined tray until very pliable. The plastic was as flexible as underdone Lasagna noodles. Using a spatula and oven mitts we placed the hot plastic sheet onto the opposite top front corner of the tank lid to use as a form. This was hot work, the piece cooled in its’ new shape and returned to being rigid.

Sturdy enough to screw into
If you're using it for an amp on legs it will bow in the middle, you would be better off with thicker abs. if you're mounting it, it will work perfect make sure you have the correct rivnuts that bite into it, the kind that screw in with an allen key. The glossy side scuffs and scratches extremely easy so was not usable for my application. All in all it worked fine for an amp rack but I never thought that plastic should cost as much as it does.

First try with Kydex went very well!
I am a total novice to making Kydex sheaths for anything, but I am enough of a tinker and budding custom knife maker, that I hoped I could figure it out, After watching a bunch of tutorials on Youtube about Sheath making with kydex, I decided to pull the trigger and make a go of it.As I have no experience with this before, I can't rate this kydex with regards to comparison with others. However I can attest that my FIRST project with this product went well enough that I have already made plans for several more sheathes and designs for other knives. My first attempt was to make a proper sheath for my Becker BK9. I wanted a scout carry configuration to keep it out of the way (horizontal instead of hanging up and down), and I wanted to be able to attach other things to it with ranger bands or Paracord.I would have to say that my first attempt came out at very nearly professional quality, with only a few design considerations that I might change in the future. The Kydex performed as expected, and took about 5 minutes in an oven at 350 to become the correct softness. IT took a little trial and error to get the technique down, but once I did, my sheath came out really good.It was super easy to use a heat gun to adjust and remold certain elements, and working with the tools I had was a snap, cutting with a band saw, and sanding went smooth and without error,The Kydex arrived very clean, and I just wiped down the smooth side with some windex before use and it stuck together like it's supposed to so when I drilled my Chicago screw holes, everything lined up niceI would add that this product seemed reasonably priced, for 8 12"x"12 sheets, you can make a lot of sheaths for a lot of knives.my BK9 design used up every scrap of Kydex (I needed belt loops), but if I forgo the belt loops, I could have easily fit 2 Bk9's on one sheet. Can't wait to try this on my other projects!

Good product, workable with tin snips, 0.06 size is the thickness of a penny.
I used this plastic sheet for reparing my Prius underbody, where the oil change splash-shield door fell off. It was easy to handle and cut to shape, and the results are perfect. This plastic is easily cut with a small pair of tin snips, but it is too thick to cut with normal scissors. It also could be cut on a table saw or with a hand held saw. The size I ordered (0.06) is about the thickness of a US penny.PLEASE NOTE!!This is NOT textured the same on both sides!! One side of this sheet is smooth and glossy and shows scratches unbelievably well. The other side is a mottled, textured plastic surface. Be sure this isn't a problem for your project.
