I can see where it would be hard to keep on long periods of time. If you have the thin cheap mask its like wearing nothing so It may do better at cons. When it slides it suffocates me a little but adjusting the strap sorta fixes it. This isn't a defect...it is just a heavy resin mask thus much more difficult to pull off hours at a time.I have two different V hats and it won't fit under either of them so the hat sits more on the back of my head and doesn't look quiet right. Again not a defect, just a significantly thicker mask. If you aren't a perfection stickler like me on costume accuracy then the way your hat sits may not bug you. It has a very thick foam piece on the inside forehead that may help this if it was removed or thinned but may reduce comfort...more experimentation is needed. You could just get a larger hat possibly.

Just look at the reviews: half are excellent, half are terrible. My opinion is that the supplier frequently runs out of the good quality ones, and resorts to sending crappy ones until they restock. I was lucky enough to get a good quality one (the one that is listed). It is indeed very durable and heavy, it almost feels like stone. The mask fits snuggly on my face because I have a naturally long face, so it's the perfect fit. The strap is durable and snaps in place, but it needs to be placed almost on top of the head, because of the mask's excessive weight. The paint on the front is unmistakeable, and the entire mask is very well made. To those of you who are getting the wrong mask, send it back and demand a new one. I guarantee they will send you the listed one.Also, the sender included a sheet with the return policy, a small slip thanking me for my purchase, and even 1 yuan bill from China!Overall, if you're willing to take the risk- you may get a really nice purchase out of this. I have no regrets. If anything, the 50% chance made it an exciting surprise.

Absolute rip off. I recieved mine today without padding or anything on it, it was just in an envelope. I pulled it out and quickly saw that it wasnt at all what is shown in the picture. Its not a matte finish, its glossy. The paint job on it is horribly bad. There is 3 HUGE cracks down the entire front of it. It doesnt fit on your face at all... Its way too close and so my eyelashes stick out the cutouts for my eyes and its very annoying. The red spots on the cheeks arent even in the same place on each cheek: one is too high and one is too low and too far to the right. It isnt hard resin at all. Its a bit higher quality than cheap plastic ones that you can buy for $1 but its not nearly hard resin at all. Overall, i will be sending this back and getting it replaced as soon as i can. I bought this for halloween (not just for halloween) but now if i send this back, i wont have another one by the time its halloween... Thanks alot. Very very unhappy.

This is a good mask. The quality is great. Feels very strong and sturdy. The paint had one small discrepancy, but the rest of it was very well done. The only issue I had was the way it feels against your face. Even after loosening the strap as far as it will go, the mask still presses extremely tight against my face making it hard to see and breathe. I'll probably go to home depot and get some soft padding material to glue to the inside at the tight points and maybe see if that creates some space and comfort as well. Overall, a pretty good mask and probably the best one on Amazon in terms of strength and sturdiness.

This has a wonderful, thick skin. It's not a flimsy one like I saw in the halloween store the other day. It also doesn't have a deformed, almost grotesque face like that one either. I put in V for Vendetta before I bought this and viewed them side by side and it is very similar to the mask we all know and love. The only complaint I have is that the mask tends to tip back, away from my chin and tight against my forehead. I put a rag between my face and the mask and that seemed to do the trick. I don't know if anyone else had this problem at all but if you find a thin rag to put there to hold it on correctly it's wonderful. It still gets 5 stars.

This is a prime A+++ mask.Odd that it is manufactured in China because it is a quality- QUALITY- traditional Kabuki style mask.Exceptional quality. At receipt and with touch the mask feels and appears to be made from porcelain/thick resin.Well worth the price and accompanying short wait for delivery.Item arrived several days before expected delivery date.Did I mention that it is a quality mask? This mask is a great quality mask. WAY better than those cheap thin plastic ones. It's hand painted and air brushed. I saw a lot of complaints about the straps falling off but I'm guessing they fixed that problem because the one I got has holes to strap onto the mask. Better than the pics I saw before I bought it. It's an great display mask too! The only CAUTION that I'll give you is not about the mask, but the box it comes in. There was some loose fiberglass in the box so I would open the box outside or in a garage. GREAT MASK!!!
