I saw the measure of 1.245” for the width, mentally I pictured this as 1-¼” by “eye sight”... well it’s close... just don’t fit.
When I read through the ad and saw the width of 1.253” immediately I took that as an inch and a quarter (1-¼”) and looking at my ladders and knowing what an 1-¼” looks like I ordered this. My bad, I should have measured them “D” holes, I have 5 ladders (Werner and Lil Giant) and this fits none of them. I saw your email regarding a review of this product and I did i not hear from my original email to you. I was asking for a THINNER width unit... I would buy another, because I just might have a use for this one in the future. I’ve already looked into “NARROWING” this unit myself without reducing to much strength... I’m working on that. Anyway with an answer I might increase my star rating, I was only going to give it a ONE since it does not work at all for me, BTW, I do have TIG welder for steel and aluminum and I thought of cutting up another just to get a “D” rung out and re weld into ladder I would use... anyway, that would just create a stub for me to catch my toe on going up ladder. Please respond regarding thinner unit, I would buy another.

depending on rung size of ext. ladder you may have to add some tape to snug up holder.
for painting onextension ladder. hang 1 or 2 gal. bucket, not full and paint safe when you hold on ladder with one hand. you can also use 2 with 1 on each side of extension ladder when sanding and other tools in buckets.

New attempt at can holding
OK have not used yet ! so one star off just for that. Was confused about the big rectangle hole in it, then realized it was for your hand to carry with paint bucket in place ! Fits my extension ladders, and think it will fit my multi position one too, when extended for holes. Have used many other type supports, and still searching for my comfortable one. Most rung holders are depended on can hanging inside of ladder tilt, or just not easy to relocate while on a ladder. Most styles the can hits lower rung, so a full can is an issue not to spill. Hope this style works out.

Weak, cheap magnets. Pass on this.
If you spend$19 on something and one of the key features is crap then you get a poor review. The magnets are extremely weak. If you attach your brush in order to move around on the ladder and the brush falls 30ft to the ground...then you get a poor review. Otherwise good concept. That's why 2 stars not one.

Works Great!
I've used it while painting three of the four side of my house. It works great! It makes it safe to paint while up on the ladder. Well worth it!

A great product.
We own a white clapboard house. I don't know why anyone would paint on an extension ladder without using this product! Our painters were thrilled with its safety and ease of use. I have bought and given several.

GREAT PRODUCT USED FOR SEVERAL HOURS
GREAT PRODUCT USED FOR SEVERAL HOURS! I think the magnets do need to be stronger though! Moving the ladder the paint brush did not stay attached?
