The polytac x met my expectations. It's very bright, the beam has a nice far throw with a nice amount of flood around the spot and the lens is glass which is definitely preferred over plastic. The clip is also a very nice feature being a two way clip to carry the light in either head up or down position. I carried it clipped head down on the chest strap on my back pack when not using it while exploring some abandoned tunnels. I also used it for a headlight on my dirtbike on that same trip and it worked admirably for that as well. Something I didnt realize is that there is an aluminum sleeve inside to give the body more strength which is a really solid feature. Overall definitely 5 out of 5 and totally worth the money.

Great improvement over earlier models.
3 brightness settings-- much more versatile than earlier models., Large pocket clip on the side very useful.Unfortunately as arrived bottom end of blister pack torn out with one battery missing. Had to go to town and spend 15.00 on batteries.

Disapointed it didn't work with all 18650 batteries
I really liked my coyote brown polytach so I figured this duel fuel was the next best thing since I already had a lot of 18650 batteries for other flashlights, unfortunately this requires a specific type of 18650 with a raised nob on the top and would not work with my universal style flat top 18650's. Also the switch was harder to click and more recessed than the normal polytach so I chose to return this item due to cost and not meeting my expectations.
