Smells like old face cream
Made my hair feel like a film was still on it after rinsing.

not impressed
I honestly picked this hair repair mask because the other reviews seemed very good. I have used it twice now and both times, my hair hasn't felt any different. I have let it sit for about 25 minutes with a warm towel on the first time and it didn't do anything. I then decided that I would leave it on over night because I thought I didn't leave it on long enough. It once again didn't feel any different. If anything, once I showered and dried my hair, it was very static and frizzy. Maybe I just don't have the right kind of hair because I do bleach it often, but I just expected more.

Smells and looks good, but results are meh, and the price is high
I like the scent of this (it's more like a fragrance than a typical conditioner, so I skipped wearing fragrance after I used it), and the packaging is really elegant; it has all of the promise of an excellent conditioner (including a VERY high price tag). However, I was disappointed with it. My hair is 2C/3A wavy/curly, color treated (mostly to hide greys, but with some high/low lights as well), very fine, tangle-prone, and dry at the ends. I applied this as directed, combed it through, put a cap on, left it for about 20 minutes while I showered, and then rinsed it with cool water. My hair felt nice--it had some slip, combed easily, and felt soft. It looked and felt pretty good when it was dry. All of that is well and good, but I get it from a conditioning mask that costs 1/5th of what this one does (for a lot more product). My hair isn't particularly improved by using this...it's a good mask, but it doesn't do anything special. I would give it 4 stars, but considering the price I expected a lot more. While I like the scent and packaging of this, and it performs fine, I can't justify the price tag considering the mediocre results. It may work better on straight hair--my hair is curly enough to be difficult, so people with straight hair may notice a lot better "behavior" from their hair after using it.

High Shine
This hair mask delivers a high shine without weighing your hair down. Right after rinsing, it was easy to pull my wide tooth comb through without a struggle. Easier than when just using a regular conditioner. After air drying and brushing, it's clear that it delivers a nice shine. As far as repairing, my hair looked to be in better condition, which lasted about 48 hours. In my opinion, as far as repairing, it doesn't do that. What it DOES do is PREVENT damage, especially, for me at least, most of the damage happens while combing. My fragile hair isn't breaking as much during a comb out, so the strands aren't being stretched thin and breaking. This is definitely the one to use right after your hair is trimmed, to seal off the ends to help prevent splitting. The price is in line with other ultra premium hair care products, no sticker shock here. As far as KEEPING hair healthy, it's top notch.

Good hair masque
Ricardo Rojas hair mask comes in an attractive red square box. Despite being square, you open it by rotating the top.The hair mask smells great and feels rich. I have naturally curly hair (3a) and found that they look best with a lot of moisturizing. I use the masque in my hair after I shampoo the hair on my damp hair. The minimum recommended time is 15 min. The instructions say to apply to hair but avoid the roots of the hair. The at the end, for the last 5 minutes, massage into hair and scalp.I use this masque with a thermal cap. This is not in the instructions, but I find it helpful. I make the thermal cap warm by heating it in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, and it keeps the hair warm without sitting under the hairdryer. The warmth opens up hair follicles, and the masque penetrates the hair more effectively.Ali Julia review
