Great little ball of light!
This is one of those items that the usefulness of is hard to explain until you have one. I was given a similar device at a trade show, I used it a couple times on my car before I caught on to how useful it is to have a ball of light that will stick to anything metal, particularly one that is this small. Trying to find the bold on a header that is underneath, no problem. Working on an oven hood and need to see into the vent hole, not an issue. This one is particularly useful because you can set it for different levels of light and either white or the red. The only negative is the battery cover is a bit easy to open, and I have lost a couple of batteries because of it.

Pretty good light
I've had and used the original Light Mines for quite some time and I was very excited to see the larger "Pro" version that provides brighter lights and more features. This is a fairly large light - about the size of a baseball - that runs on 3 AAA batteries (which are included). So, I installed the batteries and found the light modes work as advertised (low white / high white / steady red / blinking red / off). Each press of the red button cycles to the next mode. There is no way to switch directly to "off" without going through the full sequence of modes. It didn't take long, however, to find the flaw in this otherwise clever design. I turned on the light, put it on a magnetic metal surface with a "click" as the magnets grabbed hold and the light promptly turned off. Pressing the red button again, the light(s) would stay lit only as long as my finger was pressing the button. Hmmm... Other reviews on Amazon noted that the battery holder doesn't seem to make good contact out-of-the-box. Following that lead, I popped open the battery cover and inserted a "shim" between the battery cover and the battery holder. Problem solved. (In my case, the "shim" was a yellow sticky-note folded several times, then cut to fit. You only need something about 3/16" so let your imagination guide you.)When attaching the light to a sheer, vertical surface (like my magnetic white-board) if only 3 magnets are engaged, gravity takes its toll and the light slides down the board, unable to hold itself in place. Rotating it slightly so that 4 magnets are touching, solves the problem, but then the light may not be aimed exactly where you want it.Overall, it's a nice light and I like it. At a maximum brightness of 64 lumens, it is more than capable of lighting the way or being used as a flashing warning light in a pinch. I gave it only 3-stars because of the "gravity slide" issue noted above and because of the battery holder issue. The battery holder is a small, easily fixed issue, but I wouldn't expect to need to "fix" a brand-new, never-before-opened product.

Great Idea
I was a little worried at first. My boyfriend saw this thing a while ago and thought it was pretty cool in the picture. So I bought it and this thing is super handy everywhere. It sticks to anything metal. It has 3 modes that we have found so far. Bright white spot light, red light spot light and a flashing red light. I had it in the car and it stuck to my seatbelt. The magnets are pretty strong. I had to pull the thing off my seatbelt with some force. It gives a good amount of light for such a little thing. (We have the mini ones too, and the larger one is MUCH better). If you have someone that works on cars, plumbing anything where light is needed in a dark area and needs to be hands free, this thing is awesome. We are giving them as gifts for the guys. Super useful.

It’s ok...
This product took a while to get here ( couple weeks) but I wasn’t in a hurry. It is big, about the size of a baseball. The light has 4 settings, bright white led, dim white led, red and flashing red. The magnets seem to work ok. Wish they were a bit stronger but they do work. There is a bit of glue on the case by one of the magnets. The plastic that it is made of seems light and cheep. It is serviceable and I am happy with it just wish it was a bit better made.

50/50 satisfaction
When I received these, I ordered 2, the one wouldnt stop turning on by itself. So we had to keep the batteries out so it would stay off. The other one works perfectly!!!

This is a great idea and product
This is a great idea and product! It's quite bright. Although sometimes the button gets pegged on and it's a little difficult to disengage. Also the magnets occasionally get pulled off the mine when dislodging it from whatever it's stuck to. Overall I recommend this to everyone and the few minor drawbacks are nothing compared to the multifunctional appeal of this product.

Light is awesome. The push button switch seems a bit cheap
Light is awesome. The push button switch seems a bit cheap, but is a worthy sacrifice for the versatility of this light. The magnets are plenty strong to support the light's weight.

Macho Design Light
Turns out where I wanted to use it was aluminum instead of steel as I thought so it won't stick. It is now a desk paper weight while in case I can find a place where I need light and it will adhere. It is a very masculine design. Could be a neat gift for a teenage boy.

Reasonably well made and still working fine (in contrast to some comments on here)
I've had one of these for a while, and the one I have appears to be reasonably well made and is still working absolutely fine (in contrast to some comments on here). The only negative points are that it isn't as bright as I expected (most LED torches are much brighter than this), and the magnetic feature isn't quite as useful as you might imagine because due to the disposition of the various magnetic points there are a finite number of directions you can aim it, and many times that won't be in the direction you need! Nevertheless, I do find this useful from time to time, usually stuck to my drill press, or when crouched in a crevice under a car dashboard. They should make a "version 2" with much brighter LEDs.
