Keep in mind this is a $20 camera.
Keep in mind this is a $20 camera. The picture at night is not super crisp and clear but this is a back up camera designed to see if there is a person, vehicle or obstruction behind you. This camera is not designed to highlight the individual feathers of a blue jay 100 meters out. It works satisfactory as a back-up camera. The flush mount is very nice but the drill bit leaves much to be desired. You would be better served to throw it away and use a real drill bit. I used a step drill bit and drilled out to 3/4". The camera fits just fine. A little primer and paint to protect the freshly drilled hole and then a bit of silicone to prevent water from entering the car. Wiring is not as complicated as it would seem. I hooked this to a Pioneer and you really just need to follow the included instructions and it will work just fine. AV cable into the rear camera port in your radio. Signal wire from AV cable to the rear back up wire on your radio. Then route the wires through your vehicle and out to the camera. The power cable on the camera side hooks to your back-up lights. All grounds go to a body ground. I did have to extend the power cable wire as it was a bit short for my application. I am happy with the camera I believe it does an acceptable job. I did not like the drill bit.

Drill head was worthless-plastic, image is good
The diameter is about the size of a nickel. The depth is about the same. Be sure to mark where 'Up' is before fully installing into the frame of the car. It's very hard to adjust afterwards. I used silicone adhesive to seal the camera once I had it leveled. The image direction is just the same as in the mirror. If some one approaches from the rear passenger side, they will appear there as well. Which is what I wanted. I did NOT want an image like I have my head turned around, because that's not how I reverse. The drill bit supplied was a cheap plastic head. It melted as soon as I tried to push through the fiberglass of the truck. Just measure with a standard drill and cut away. Use sandpaper to carefully get rid of the sharp edges, partially insert camera and test it to see where 'up' is. Once leveled, use a rubber mallet with a soft cover (I used an almost empty folded paper towel roll) and press it in. White LED Lights are decently bright in the dark. I installed this in combination with a generic reverse mirror on Amazon, and they work just fine (it was $20 maybe?)Update: 2 months later, still working perfectly. Added rain-x polish to help keep the lens clear during storms. A+

OK for my application, but does not match description
This is the round camera, and I'm satisfied with it for my application. But it's described all wrong, so if you are relying on the description, you may not get what you need.First, it has bright white LED's, not the red (IR?) as in the picture. Second, it has no guidelines and it's not mirror image. Third, it's not 170 degrees. The horizontal angle of view is 84 degrees in the middle, and 105 degrees at the top and bottom. But it does produce a nice clear image. I plan to use it to inspect the insides of sewer vents on my house, and it seems to be perfect for that. The price is decent, so no complaints here. One other issue: It came with a hole saw which is useless. The teeth on the hole saw are not sharpened, so you would not be able to cut through any material on a car. Fortunately, I don't need it.

Great little backup camera!
I've only had this backup camera for a few weeks but so far I'm very happy with it. It's an inexpensive camera, it's very small, and very easy to mount. The picture is not perfect but for this price, I'm very happy with it. I've attached pictures of how I mounted it in my 2005 Avalanche as well as night view and a day view pictures of the camera view. The camera is great during the day and performs well at night. It is a little grainy at night but still gets the job done. I've never had any problem seeing behind me at night. My reverse lights are bright so I'm sure that helps. My favorite part of the camera is how small it is. I was able to mount it in the plastic bumper of my truck above the hitch. This makes it very easy to backup to my small trailer. So far this camera has been great and I would buy it again.

Two Stars
Strange glare when in use. It may be a defective camera. I am returning it for a refund.I am editing this review for two reasons -1.) I own a Tiker backup cam with guidelines and it works perfectly fine. Two stars for a defective product was a bit harsh when the refund process was so easy.2.) This is probably the most important reason. Tiker reached out to me via email and offered to go above and beyond to satisfy me. I really appreciate that attitude. For these two reasons combined, I highly recommend Tiker and their products. Thanks so much!

Picture is white washed out day or night
This camera installed pretty easy. Its very small, and you can hardly notice its actually there, and it interfaced with my aftermarket stereo with no problems. The wiring instructions were a little vague, but if you are a DIYer, you can figure it out. My problem with this is the picture that I get with this camera, its very white washed out, day or night, not sharp at all, like as if the brightness or contrast is set too high. I've messed with my stereo head unit adjustments and its still the same. The camera is pretty strong at night, that even the license plate light white washes out the picture. I will probably try a different camera in the future, and I would not recommend this camera.

Don't let the low price fool you.
I have to say I'm pretty impressed with this for the price. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it claims to have a 170 degree field of view. I tested it by placing objects behind my vehicle and came to the conclusion it's probably more like 90 degrees. But it works. And the night vision works. Installation instructions are minimal and things can vary from vehicle to vehicle and radio unit. If you are comfortable installing a new radio in your car you should be able to handle a self install with some help from google and intuition.
