After spending quite some time building the first robot and then setting it out in the sun to charge for hours, it wouldn't run. It just made a whirring sound. We even tried with the battery in, and it did the same thing. Very disappointing. However, he had a great time building, so it was still a decent gift for him.

Is rated 8 and up with adult hp can be done and would be easier for higher age group. Good quality product.

I bought this for one of my grandson’s Christmas gifts so I’m not able to comment about age appropriate or how easy or hard to assemble since it’s not been opened yet but I do know my grandson will be SO excited about it so I hope it will be 11 year old appropriate and not too difficult to assemble! This seller had an excellent price for this particular item or model!!

It had the potential to be so great, but there are a lot of pieces and you have to be really careful when cutting them out. My nephew ended up not being able to put it together. Something got lost and was part of the base of the set so he never could get it working. It did bring huge smiles when he opened the gift, but ended up not so great.

It takes a lot of time and attention to detail to put it together. Outside of that this is an amazing product, fantastic value for the price. It will definatly be the best gift they get.

We definitely loved it!. It's a very good gift for a child, especially if you want to spend time with him building a project together. The quality of the materials is good in relation to the price. I recommend it as a good gift for this Christmas.

This would have been an amazing gift if all the parts and pieces were there.
