Love it!
This is a huge improvement over the plastic ziplock box we were using previously! I love that it's stainless steel and that the scoop is too. The scoop handle is long enough to reach to the bottom of the container, so it doesn't fit as nicely when it's full, unfortunately.I love that it has a seal like bags of whole beans do! It makes me feel confident my beans are staying as fresh as possible even after they've been ground.I like that the lid seems easy to clean without tons of crevices for gunk to build up in. The gasket comes off easily for cleaning as well for when oils build up. I hope they sell these gaskets individually in case something happens to them, but I haven't looked into that yet since mine's been fine so far. But I do have kids, and I put nothing past them, so replacements would be nice just in case!We blow through coffee, so I haven't had need for the dating system they have, but I could see how that'd be useful when hoarding and rationing a speciality blend ;)The only improvement I can see would to be to sell larger containers or to have a square shape rather than round so I could fit more of them &/or stack them in my cupboard and have multiple coffees on hand to choose from each day. :D

Culinary Prestige vs Coffee Gator
I bought both Culinary Prestige ($23) and Coffee Gator ($28) to use for coffee and tea. They looked very similar and I thought Culinary Prestige is a better (less expensive) deal but I was wrong. Here is why I prefer Coffee Gator:1. Coffee Gator seems to have a better/tighter seal.2. Coffee Gator comes with a travel jar, which may or may not be important for you; I used it a couple of times already.3. Coffee Gator has a scoop with smaller handle so that you can put it inside of a canister on top of your coffee - this is very convenient. The image of Culinary Prestige is misleading. I wonder if it was done on purpose. The image shows that the scoop length is smaller than the canister diameter. This is not true. A scoop can only fit into a canister vertically and that is not going to work if you have coffee or tea in it.

quality not that great
not impressed with quality. looks beautiful in pics but, in person it looks like a $10 max canister you would buy at a discount store.i bought two and on both the black lid is not shinny but, instead has a used discolored dirty looking smudged up look to it and no anount of cleanning and wiping rids of it. the bottom of one canister even has major rubbing/scratched up wear and tear on it, the other has minor wear & tear. One lid is tight when opening and closing, one lid is not. Now my main pet peeve with this is that no where in pics do you see the rubber seal showing under lid (at least no amount of zooming in makes me see it), in pics it looks like seal goes into container itself providing an air tight seal but, noooo on both canisters i received, the seal sits on top of canisters themselves and i just don't see how this is not going to end up providing a non air-tight seal for long after seal starts showing wear and tear from use.. Although not impress with these and i should really just return them, i am still going to keep these to store extra beans from opened bags but, i really wanted these to replace my small airtight oxo containers that i use every day but, that's not going to happen..Do not recommend for everyday use!

Stylish, Stainless Steel Coffee Canister
This is a cool little coffee keeper canister. We make coffee almost every single morning so we go through it fairly quickly. We sometimes like to mix our medium roast coffee with flavored coffees. For the flavored ones, we buy whole beans and grind enough for a few days. I was just storing the ground beans in one of our empty plastic coffee containers with the snap-on lids. Until I used this container, I didn't really realize how much of the taste and aroma we were losing. When I open this canister the full aroma of my ground beans is as strong and full as the moment I ground them and it makes a difference because more of the flavor is coming through when we brew it.The canister itself is really cool and does what it says it will. It holds up to 16 ounces of whole beans. The body is made of sturdy stainless steel. The lid seals airtight when you close the latch, preventing oxygen, light and moisture from from getting inside. There is a one-way valve in the lid that allows CO2 gas to escape, but doesn't allow oxygen or moisture to enter. The lid is sturdy plastic, but I am not sure if it is BPA free or not since it isn't listed on the box and there was no printed information included. The top of the lid contains two dials - one marked for the months of the year and one marked with days of the month - these are intended to serve as a reminder of when you put the coffee in the canister. I don't like the month dial... I had to pry that piece out of the lid with my knife to put it on the correct month. The outer ring moves fine to show the day in the little window, but there should be an easier way to change the month without risking damaging the lid. The canister is very nice looking and the style fits in with almost any decor. There is a stainless steel scoop included. The scoop is 1/8 of a cup (30mL), which is a great size for coffee. Overall, I really like this coffee canister. It works really well and I just have been ignoring the date dials. We usually use our coffee pretty fast anyway, so it hasn't been a huge deal for us.

Ok
Mixed. Kind of fooled by size.. It appears much larger on the picture here. Also if you want to close it and have the spoon inside the container you can only fill the container up 60% of the way. The quality appears nice and I like the scoop that's included. I would give it 4-5 stars if it wasn't for the size. It feels very tight when I close it in keeping air out but my coffee hasn't had the wonderful "new coffee" smell that I was expecting it to keep the fresh coffee aroma and I haven't noticed any difference in freshness. Not sure what I was expecting. Large containers or bags defeats the purpose of this since it can't hold that amount. It does look cute sitting on the counter top.
