Walnut Oil - 16.9 oz

Walnut oil is exceptional because it contains much more Omega-3 (especially) and Omega-6 poly-unsaturated oils than almost all other oils. (Linseed oil, the main alternative, tastes awful.) Sad to say, the science is now definitive that Omega-3's (including fish oils) confer NO NET HEALTH BENEFIT, and if Omega-6's confer a benefit, it is a very small one. But before I knew this I really enjoyed my Walnut Oil. I plan to keep using it, although in greater moderation.Walnut oil tastes wonderful. Although it browns things nicely, you should avoid cooking with it because heating the oil creates trans-fats, admittedly in fairly small amounts, but they cause cardiovascular disease.

Good flavor and color. I used this for salads for a delicate nutty flavor to dressings!

I use this in my All Natural Moisturizer along with other oils.

I have a friend who travels to france frequently and brings me walnut oil. I had run out and was searching for some that could even remotely compare. after reading the reviews, I ordered this - two bottles! - thinking it would be at least somewhat similar to what i've been getting from france. NO COMPARISON. Worst of all, this tastes like it's made from roasted walnuts, which the listing did not say. Only now did I learn I cannot return even the unopened one. Wasted $35.
