This is one of those items that you should have in your vehicle and hoping you will never have to use it. I am 80 years old so have been driving for many years and have never had an experience where I have had to break a window or cut a seat belt but then, why not be prepared? I also have a fire extinguisher in my home that I have never had to use but it is available if I ever need it. Just as we have a spare tire in our vehicle "just in case" you should also have this Safety Hammer, Window Breaker. Have two vehicles? It comes in a two pack for under $10. They are well made and come with a holder that you can bolt somewhere in you car or just place it in your glove compartment or center console.

Hopefully, they will never find a use but it is good to carry in the car. They seem a little light but my presumption is that they have been tested and will do the trick.

A very nice quality set of car safety hammers. Virtually identical to some I paid much more for, and I'm assuming they'll work similarly based on their appearance and other reviews. Luckily, I haven't ever needed any of these, just buying more to stock all our vehicles.

I am preemptively giving this 5stars because I haven't had the opportunity to test this yet due to not having had a wreck from which I had to escape. Here to hoping. My kid, however, is not a fan and says it hurts when he gets thumped on the head with it so he is not as big of a fan as I am. Come to think of it neither is my wife. Whatever, I like it. 5 STARS all the way.

ok to short to get leverage

I bought this in the event I saw a dog locked in a hot car. So far I have not had to use it and I hope I never will. It is a good product I keep it in my glovebox.

I believe each and every vehicle should have one of these. Thankfully, we haven't had to use ours yet so I can't comment on how easy they are to use. We have had some for a long time and purchased these for our adult children.

These are light weight, sturdy and perfect to carry in your car just in case you need to break a window or cut off a broken seatbelt. No instructions but I figured out that they just pop off of the black holder and pop back on.
