We purchased this for our daughter who wants to work with animals but thought the only way to do that was to become a Vet. It was perfect ! It includes very well organized chapters introducing a many different professions giving each equal attention and not elevating one over the other . There are quizzes to help the child discover what’s a good fit and practical advice. There are interviews of children who’ve done wonderful things with animals .. historical facts timelines biographical information .. I’d say this is written at a upper elementary level/ middle school level .. it can be used as a read aloud , just leisure reading for exploring career choices , or an in depth unit study .. it lend itself to that type of flexibility ... if your child has an interest in working with animals this is the book to read

My 7 year old niece LOVED this book! There's little quizzes throughout and it's a very approachable yet honest approach about what sorts of jobs work with animals.

Purchased this for my nephew who wasn't sure if he wanted to go into veterinary or robotics. My sister believed he may do well with animal's and I got this for him. He now knows he want to go into veterinary medicine.
