Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy

Story and pictures are adorable, as all Fancy Nancy books are. However, I thought this was the same hardcover book I would get at the bookstore. It is NOT. This is my biggest complaint with Amazon - they don't post/require REAL photos of items - stock photos are all you see. The book doesn't have a dust jacket, and is quite a bit smaller than the regular edition - just a heads-up. You get what you pay for, even on Amazon, apparently. If I had known, I would have purchased the regular hardback from the bookstore, which is what I thought I was getting. This might be a good choice for homes with little ones, however.

The product (book) arrived in horrible condition. It had worn corners. There was an inscription on the inside cover: "To Miss Marin, You are a Princess, Love, Mimi." Multiple pages were torn off at the bottom; not just ripped, but torn and missing. There were pen scribbles throughout the pages. The back inside covers were covered with pen scribbles. The book was very worn and finger marks could actually be seen where the book had been held and reheld, obviously with wet fingers.The book was a gift for a granddaughter. I obviously could not give a gift to a granddaughter that was in such horrible condition. So disappointed that the product was not as advertised.

I’m returning this because it was intended to be a gift and it arrived missing the dust jacket.

Nice book!!! Gift for niece’s daughter who loves Fancy Nancy. This is first hardback book I ordered her and it is very sturdy and nice!

Great if you like fancy nancy, are getting a pet, or both. Teaches about responsible pet choices.

Beautiful illustrations and a great story about finding the right pet to fit the family. I love it and my 2 and 4 year old all love it

Any book that teaches kids about adopting dogs is a hit in my book - and it's done in the fancy Nancy fashion. This book is a hit in our house.

With a daughter named Nancy, I can hardly pass up books with a character like "Fancy Nancy." I would have bought the books for my daughter anyway, but I was pleased to discover how wonderful they are. The first book (called just Fancy Nancy) is a brilliant piece of writing and art with a sweet story that goes well beyond its title. So I was glad to see Ms. O'Connor and Ms. Glasser had put together another volume.This time out, Nancy and her family are going to get a dog and, after babysitting a neighbor's posh puppy, find a different dog to fit them. Again, it's a nice story and the art is absolutely marvelous. I wasn't quite as touched by the story this time around but I was knocked out by how much I liked the first Fancy Nancy book so it's not too surprising that the second book is a bit of a disappointment. Still, it's a great story and a beautiful book that I will love sharing with my family for years to come.

Very attractive front cover and beautifully illustrated inside. Quite a unique series of books. I bought this one and 'Fancy Nancy' as a present for the granddaughter of my close friend Nancy, who will take it when she visits her family in Australia for Christmas; I'm sure it will be a very pleasing gift.

I bought this Fancy Nancy book second hand as we already have one Fancy Nancy book . This book is in good condition and great value. I also bought Fancy Nancy and the Butterfly Birthday as my daughter loves them.
