Does not work
This dog does not work very well at all. It will walk for a bit and then if you click the clicker again it stops and then waits a few seconds before walking again. If you click the clicker twice, it stops and then keeps walking. if you click the clicker three times, it sometimes will sit down on his back legs and lift his front ones up. When it does this, it makes a terrible noise that sounds like the toy is about to break and the gears are grinding. We figured out how to make the sound stop, but it makes this noise every time it sits down. It scares my little girl and she gets very worried that the doggie is sick and starts crying. We bought this to make her smile, not to make her cry.

a hug killed it
I thought this puppy would be great for my daughter because she loves puppies but is too young for her own. However, maybe she loves puppies too much because she hugged it twice and it now doesn't move. It seems the 'controls' are on the back of the toy and the hug broke it. The clicker didn't work that well either. we just clicked and clicked until the pup did something. It was fun while it lasted (2 weeks),but is definitely hands off kind of toy.
