Pull the wire out and push it into the pipeline. 3. If you can't get the wire into the pipeline or get to a blockage in the pipe, then tighten the screw and press the handle and wire toward the pipeline while turning the hand crank clockwise to break up the blockage and until the wire continues into the pipeline. You can fill the pipeline with some water to help remove the blockage, but only if there is still some movement in the drain. When you have successfully removed the blockage in the pipeline, you can pull the wire out and clean it thoroughly with water. After the wire is dry, you can coat the wire with oil before pulling the wire into the housing to help keep it from rusting. Note: 1. During use, do not use excessive force. When you hit a blockage, please rotate clockwise while pushing the wire up and down. You can also rotate the hand crank counter clockwise while pushing the wire up and down to free up the blockage. 2. When releasing the screw that locks the wire in place, be careful of the wire as tension may have built as the wire was rotated. Please be careful with the wire around other people. 3.After using, please wash clean, dry to prevent rust otherwise affect the next using 4. In case of the wire out of the house,It can be assembled along the inlet port as the previous way without unscrewing the screw to open the house

This is a great drain auger.
My kitchen sink clogged up a few days ago (talk about a nightmare!) and it took me two days to fix it. I decided to be better prepared if it happens again, so ordered this drain auger. All of my drains are fine right now, but I gave this unit a try on all of them just to be sure it would fit. I mainly had concerns about it fitting through the opening to the above-mentioned kitchen sink, but to my surprise it did. The instruction sheet leaves a little to be desired, but watching YouTube videos about this type of drain auger makes it easy. I highly recommend this drain auger from this seller.I noticed some complain about their hands getting dirty - and they do - but that's what soap is for. Use gloves to avoid this problem.

For small jobs this might work ok, but the auger itself is on the thin side. Be careful to secure the auger with the screw, or it may completely slip out into the pipe - it does not have anything to hold it at the other end inside.I ended up going to home depot and getting the half inch manual auger and cleared the clog.

This cable is very small. The unit does work easily though. Unfortunately it did not clear my issue, not sure if the cable size was the factor. One other draw back is that there is no cable guard to protect the porcelain for the scratches the cable leaves.

Not good for toilets like it says. Don’t buy.
Tried to use this for a clogged toilet. It was difficult to maneuver and a waste of money. Don’t buy this. I’d return it and ask for my money back but it’s used so I’m assuming I can’t. Don’t buy this unless you want to feel as dumb as I do right now.

Works quite well
Had a sink that has been clogged and slow for years. This tool helped clear it! You must spin in and out to get by challenging bends. Once I figured that out, it worked great.
