Super smooth Italian made machine
This machine makes great latte's and whatever drinks you like. I also use it for hot water for tea for my guests. Well worth the money. Make sure you do not use oily beans in the machine. I use a light or medium roast from a good coffee roaster or buy online that the beans are good for use in a semi-automatic machine like this one.IF you see a red screen on your display for dumping your grounds PLEASE leave your machine on and remove the tray then dump the grounds. That way the machine will read that you dumped the grounds. I tried and tried by turning off the machine then dumping the grounds but the machine wouldn't work. I saw an Italian video on this and presto it worked by leaving the machine on for any red light display. Have fun, I hope you enjoy the machine like I do everyday.

Stay away from this product and company. The machine itself is nice when it works - ours stopped working when the 'no beans' error popped up constantly. After talking numerous times to their support line which made me vacuum clean the bean tray, I sent it in for repairs. After receiving the unit back after two weeks of zero information, neither confirmation that the unit was received, no report of what has been fixed, and when to expect the unit back, we plugged it in again and...the same error. Oh, and their support doesn't work on the weekend so, you can only call them vial phone from Monday and Friday as email response doesn't work either. STAY AWAY, worst customer experience. Never ever Saeco again for us.

It leaks too much.
It leaks SO BAD. I made 3 measured cups of water (4 cycles) and I measured 0.3 cups of leak water (that is 10% leakage for what comes out). Plus there is a little leakage every time started to clear the lines. Every time I dump the coffee pucks, 6-7 cycles, i have to dump the water; and there is over a cup. It is a little quieter than the prior Saeco model I had but the cycle time is about 15% slower. The beans do feed better than the older model, but they still don't feed from the front side of the hopper; you have to push them over to the grinder. I had the prior model for about 4 years and I thought this new generation would be much better but that is not true. I think it is mixed overall performance and certainly not an upgrade. I would send it back if it wasn't such a hassle.

Good machine with it's share of quirks.
Overall this is a great machine for the price. It replaces the older Saeco Incanto Rapid Steam. However this machine does not appear as well build as the older model. More plastic parts, flimsier doors etc.One thing that I can't figure out is how to adjust the grinder setting because as soon as the door opens, the grinder stops. I got around it by using a small toy magnet to fool the door switch. But nothing in the manual indicates this design flaw. Also because beans fill from one side and water from the other, a convenient spot for the machine is hard to find where both sides need access. The brew group seems robust and appears similar to all Saeco designs. The screens have larger openings which make me wonder if there is sufficient pressure to properly extract all the coffee from the beans. And since the lower screen is not removable, I wonder about cleaning. The large dregs hopper is great and the tray catches the drippings well but I still see some debris on the counter below the machine. Not sure what is overflowing. The bypass chute for ground coffee is terrible. The small round opening makes it difficult to put coffee in and spillage is inevitable. Its integration into the whole bean hopper makes for potential cross contamination. And makes it less convenient for that single afternoon decaf coffee.Good part is that it's quiet, warms up quickly and makes a nice cup of coffee as well as a good espresso that exhibits excellent body and crema. All super automatic machines have quirks and this one has a few but overall I like the machine (for the price). Would not have paid the $999 retail price if it was not on sale.

Excellent super-automatic coffee machine
I owned the Saeco Incanto Classic since 2010 before it broke down in 2015, Then I bought and switched to using Gaggia Brera in 2016.I have a strong preference for super-automatic expresso machine as freshly-grounded coffee from coffee beans tend to bring out the full aroma of the coffee beans. Therefore this review is based on 2 prior uses; Saeco Incanto Classic and Gaggia Brera.First, the product does not come with an intenza water filter, the same type of Intenza water filter used in Saeco Incanto Classic and Gaggia Brera. I highly recommend the installation of the Intenza water filter. There is a menu option to indicate water filter is not used. The manual does not indicate what type of changes when water filter is and is not used.Second, this product produces awesome creamy milk frotht!!!. I was not able to obtain the same quality of froth from Saeco Incanto Classic and Gaggia Brera. The steam is much stronger so be extra watchful.Third, this comes with a LCD screen that allows 7 options:(1) Coffee Temperature (2) Standby (3) Display Contrast {4) Water Hardness (5) Water Filter (6) Start Calc Clean (7) Reset. It allows more customization such as coffee temperature, water hardness adjustment. Finally, the exterior of this product is mainly plastic, as compared to my 2010 Saeco Incanto Classic, which had metal casing.Overall, I like this super-automatic expresso machine!
